An Action Target Group (ATG) is a logical grouping of any Characters, separate from a Character Set. Any number of Characters can be a part of any particular group. The purpose of an Action Target Group is to provide a customized Target for Actions, for example to send a key to have all Characters of one class cast a particular spell, but not the other Characters.

Creating an Action Target Group

  1. In the top pane, right click Action Target Groups and select New Action Target Group.
  2. Choose a name for your Action Target Group. Keep it simple. Here's some examples: healer, dps, melee, paladins, ranged, caster, ret_paladin.
  3. Now your Action Target Group needs Characters in it. Drag each Character you would like to be part of this Action Target Group from the top pane, into the bottom left pane.

WARNING:

  • Avoid spaces in the ATG name, it may cause problems with the target parsing depending on names of other things and the target spec.
  • Don't name an ATG the same name as a character set or character. It will do odd things.

Adding a Character to an Action Target Group

  1. In the top pane, select the name of the ATG under Action Target Groups.
  2. In the top pane, click the '+' next to Characters to expand the Characters section.
  3. Click and drag a Character from the top pane to the bottom-left pane.

Alternatively, you may select the ATG in the top pane and then right-click 'Characters' in the bottom-left pane, and choose Add All Characters, followed by deleting characters from the ATG as necessary.

Characters may also be added to an ATG by using a Mapped Key with a Target Group Action.

Deleting a Character from an Action Target Group

Alternatively, you may select the ATG in the top pane and then right-click 'Characters' in the bottom-left pane, and choose Remove All Characters.

Characters may also be removed from an ATG by using a Mapped Key with a Target Group Action.
