I've made sure ISBoxer is allowed through my firewall and tried closing/removing several programs (malwarebytes, razer, tsm, avast, curse client) and even tried running wow in 32-bit mode (just in case!) and am still getting the same error. Battlenet is not running while I have been trying to run ISBoxer. I've been away from the game for awhile but have run ISBoxer fine on this computer before, with few changes since the last time I've been on.

Not sure what else to try/disable at this point. Any help would be appreciated!

Re: Unable to connect

Funnily enough, ISBoxer and Inner Space don't have anything to do with the connecting to the servers, because that would be a big violation against the EULA/TOS and get all ISBoxer users banned. Connection issues are either local to your computer/network (eg. firewall/routing/Anti-soft/other software type things), or just normal internet.
ISBoxer Toolkit does not need to connect through your firewall except for updates (we're talking about the external internet things here). Inner Space does connect through your firewall, but that is for updates and to the Inner Space auth servers. It doesn't connect to game servers, and your firewall would be a bit weird if it blocked the game from connecting due to Inner Space (although some software firewalls have been known to do this because they are able to track the process parent chain - pretty rare though)

So, all the normal stuff covered.

Try the following steps.
  • Run the application directly. If this means digging out wow.exe/wow-64.exe/world of Warcraft launcher.exe from the wow folder, do so. Run it from there and see what happens.
  • If that works, then check your Game Profile, to make sure it is running the same exe that you thought is was (including checking out the path). Also, take note of the Inner Space bit options.
  • Try a scan/repair from battle.net. A few people have reported connection issues, and this can sometimes resolve it.
  • Then go through the usual stuff of shutting down/uninstalling other running applications, which you say you have tried, although your diags there shows a bunch of things still running.

Re: Unable to connect

I didn't think it would, but I was just trying to cover all my bases :D . Thanks for the response!

This failed, so I guess it must be something with wow itself. Odd that it's working through battle.net, but not when running the wow-64.exe directly. Wow.exe has the same error. Any thoughts on why that might be? I'll keep digging into it though, haven't found much helpful related to this issue. I can still try to re-install wow, too. Maybe it's related to recent battlenet problems?

I would also check to make sure you don't have multiple WoW installs...
