DxNothing Setup Support Request

I have been a long time user of WinEQ and ISBoxer, but only utilized the software minimally. I recently started multiboxing on LotRO using the local client and a steam client, but became frustrated and researched to discover that ISBoxer works on more than WoW. I saw a video where MiRai discussed Healing with ISBoxer (MMO Multiboxing Gameplay [ISBoxer] -- Part 06: Healing) and it blew my mind when he got to the section where everything was running in 1 window and he was using DxNothing. I became extremely interested in this (as I think it is what I am wanting to do, but not 100% sure yet), so I went looking for additional information and found the video on the Windows Layout Wizard (ISBoxer -- Window Layouts -- The Wizard) and at 5 minute mark of this video MiRai discusses that he will be covering the topic in the next video, but I cannot find that video. I have also been searching the forums but have quickly become frustrated because my search-fu is obviously weak....hence this post for help.

I am not even sure it is what I want, but this is what I am trying to do if I can figure out how to set it up....

1. I have 2 monitors and I want the 3 toons I am playing to all be stacked on monitor 1
2. On the 2nd monitor I want a window (that is sectioned in half) that will be "hosting" the VideoFX of the 2 toons that are hidden behind the top player on screen 1

I am desiring this because I believe it will function as the following:
1. I will be able to see all 3 of my toons at all times
2. I can cycle through the toons (using the hotkey I choose) and no matter which toon is showing on the 1st monitor the other two toons will be visible on the 2nd monitor
(NOTE: the 2 items above is what I currently have with the window setup I am using)
3. If I CHOOSE to click on the screen of a toon on the 2nd monitor it will activate whatever I am clicking without swapping the toons screens (this is my primary goal - as sometimes I want to quickly click something but not rotate the primary toon on the 1st monitor or worry about an additional button press)

I believe this will work because I am under the impression that using VideoFX you can still send mouse clicks to the "host" window. If that is not how it works or I must also configure something else, please let me know so I do not bother wasting anymore of anyone's time.

Thank you in advance for any helpful information

If I'm reading this right, then you want to create a VFX Layout. While that video explains how to convert a simple Window Layout, there's not much that's different in what you are looking for, and you'll first have to create a "template" for you to work off of so that you can get the VideoFX dimensions and positions correct.

Re: DxNothing Setup Support Request

Because you want to be able to switch your main, and then have your 2 VFX Viewers swap around to be the other 2 toons, then I strongly suggest you also look at the VFX Actions video (also linked in the comments of the video MiRai linked to).

There is also this forum post, which help me immensely when learning about VFX layouts. It also points to a couple of places where you can setup some mapped keys to deal with the switching. I'm not sure if the videos cover this (they probably do, I haven't watched them through).

MiRai's videos weren't out at the time I was learning about VFX layouts, but I'm sure I would have watched them too :).

Re: DxNothing Setup Support Request

Thank you so much for the information. I have successfully created the DxNothing window and displaying the "hidden" windows as I was hoping to do. Thank you so much for responding so quickly. I will continue to tweak my setup based off of the additional information I keep finding, but the responses from both MiRai and bob have got me where I was going and got me on the correct path (because I was WAY off).

Thanks again!
