No, I have 1 file defined in the ISBoxer console, so it is creating 1 file for each character, as intended.
It seems that there are settings for the core_public__.yaml to virtualize the core_public__.dat file when eve launches.
Is there then an ability to virtualize the core_char__.dat as well, so that different Character Sets can be set up differently without having to have a different game install for each Character Set? I am not sure of the mechanism that is used to create and use the virtual file behind the scenes of ISBoxer.
I found this online and it clears up a lot:
http://eveill.blogspot.com/2013/03/profile-maintenance-and-files.htmlProfile Folder
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Local\CCP\EVE
Windows Vista/7: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE
MacOS X*: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/EVE Online/p_drive/Application Data/CCP/EVE
Browser Folder: Used to store in-game bookmarks and IGB (un)trusted site lists
core_char_*: Character setting files (this is where the UI settings are stored for a specific character)
core_user_*: User specific settings (this is where the account settings are stored)
core_public_*: Front page advert links, and settings (also sound and video resolution settings for this installation)
prefs: Basic client settings, and local machine settings (basically generic information for eve client. No settings you would care about)
Indeed you are correct, that the core_char_ files are where the window settings are stored.
I believe that I saw somewhere where I can run a program before launching the Character set. In this case I would be able to keep all my settings in sub folders, and write an app to delete all the core_char__.dat files in the root, and copy the desired files for that set to the root of the folder. Thereby allowing custom windows settings in game per character set.
I guess I was wondering if it is something that ISBoxer can handle or a hack around would be the best way to go.
