bad sync between main frame and second frame

Hi, can't find any topic related to my problem, even if i'm pretty sure, there must be many :
I play D3, 1 monitor, 2 accounts. My problem is i can't switch "broadcasting on" because my 2 characters get "unsynchronized" very quickly : there's a large gap between the position of mouse icon on the 2 screens which easily leads to have my 2 characters go in different ways... So i spend more time trying to have them synchronized again than playing game which is not the primary goal of a game session...

Hope i'm clearly understable :)

Thanks for the advice !

Re: bad sync between main frame and second frame

You are correct, this is covered many times, especially in the Diablo3 forum, and searching there for Sync.
However lets go over it again.

A Sync issue like this usually comes about because the resolutions of your games are different. Depending on whether you have turned of Instant Swapping on your window layout, or you have modified it in other ways the answer may be different.
The usual answer is that D3 is not quite setting the resolution correctly, and you need to take each game and using the in game graphic options, set them to "Full Screen", then back to "Windowed Fullscreen" a couple of times. Do this for each character.

If that did not sort it out, then the problem probably lies in a changed setting on the Window Layout causing the rendering resolutions for each region to be different. Note: they can display at different resolutions, although the aspect ratio needs to be the same, but the internal rendering needs to be the same size. Anyway, in this case then you will need to share your config.

Re: bad sync between main frame and second frame

Thanks for you quick and detailed answer!

Unfortunately, after trying many times to switch from "full screen" to windowed fullscreen" and back, with the 2 accounts, the problem is not solved.
So following your advice, i share my config : http://pastebin.com/s3gP3C5t

Hope this will help :p

Many thanks

Re: bad sync between main frame and second frame

The window layout looks fine, assuming it is in use, seeing as the posted profile has no characters/character sets, so I cannot see if the links between are in place.

It is worth noting, you want the game to be set to Windowed Fullscreen, or even Windowed, at a resolution of 1920x780 (because that is what the Active/RESET region is set to).

Also, make sure you are not using any Display Scaling in Windows. If you are using Windows 10, be aware it may not be telling you the truth when looking at the display scaling settings. Ref: viewtopic.php?p=34598#p34598

Re: bad sync between main frame and second frame

It's useful insofar as is shows me that everything is linked correctly.

Even though you are on Windows 7 you may have display scaling there too, so it is worth checking (Windows 7 tends not to lie about it). It is accessed via Control Panel -> Display, and the options are Smaller (100%), Medium (125%), Larger (150%) or you can set some custom DPI settings. You need this to be 100%.

Anyway, other than that, provided you are launching your team via one of the three methods noted here , the only reason the mouse pointer wouldn't line up in the WIndow Layout is that the game is not using the correct rendering resolution, and the method to get it to use the correct resolution is to switch between the options a couple of times, and ending up on "Windowed Fullscreen" or Windowed (with the correct resolution).

You might possibly have some other software installed that is perhaps doing something odd graphically. If you want you can provide a diagnostic, and we can see if there is anything potentially there.
