More info that I realize I ignored. Previously using XP, move to win 7 64 - using the same copy of WoW. New install of ISBoxer and newly regenerated character sets using the quick setup wizard. Also went back and used the windows layout wizard and assigned the layouts i wanted to them. Inside the ISboxer config utility the layouts and regions etc show the correct layouts (the ones I selected when making the char sets and when i redid the layouts with the wizard.
- Assuming you installed your games anew, then check to make sure they are using DirectX.
I tried changing wow from dx9 to dx11 - no change.
I - Also, check the games are not in FullScreen. Usually Windowed-Fullscreen if the game supports it, or Windowed. Very rarely some will need to be set to Fullscreen, but it is generally avoided unless the other options are not working for you.
All windows are windowed full screen.
- If you are using a hi-res monitor (4K), make sure you are not using Display Scaling (Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display, set to 100%).
normal monitor, checked anyway and it is set to 100%
The other obvious choices I figure don't apply, are (in case you were interested and were going to ask):
- Make sure you have a Window Layout assigned to that character set
Done - Make sure that Window Layout was created on this new setup, otherwise the interal windows Display Names of an old layout (previous config) may not be correct
I made it all new I suppose I can try blasting the entire directory and starting over. I'm more worried that I have some screwup with DX or video drivers (nvidia GEForce 550Ti - latest drivers installed today when I changed OS)
- Are you launching your character set from one of the 3 options in the Quick Start Guide?
Yes launching from the seletions in the start menu tray (always did it that way, been using isboxer for years)
1. Right click Inner Space in the system notification area and, in the ISBoxer Character Sets sub-menu, select your Character Set
2. In the top left pane in ISBoxer, under Character Sets, right click your Character Set and select Launch
3. To create a shortcut on your desktop to launch your team: In the top left pane in ISBoxer, under Character Sets, right click your Character Set and select Create desktop Launch shortcut
Wasn't aware of that, that will be nice since i basically only use 2 configurations.
- Close ISBoxer/Inner Space and restart Inner Space and try again
Any other thoughts? Or any info I left out that might be useful?
