Re: World of Warcraft 7.3.0 Compatibility - Update Sep 5 2017

By loading the development (test) patches and manually running the slots followed by launching the char set, everything worked perfectly.

I so missed my team. Many thanks LAX! :)

Thnaks for all the great work you did so far thou.

lax response.

Pretty much all of the currently reported issues including the Windows 7 issue sound like things I am pretty familiar with at this point. I will be putting out new development builds all day as I solve reported issues.

I do suspect that I can resolve the Windows 7 issue today. However, there are some people who have already gone ahead and installed Windows 10 for this, so if you've been meaning to do it anyway here's a good excuse to do it now ;)

Hello there i doubt this has any correct info but qwas thinking maybe all this change is so that they can move away from every other OS besides windows 10 and the packing of the .exe is the first step? just my two cents could be the wrong currency tho P

I'm updating the original post now to indicate that Inner Space development build 6186 is now available, correcting the "only window launches"/"config files [virtual files] broken"/"window layout wont work" issue; no launch one at a time workaround is needed any further with development build 6186 or later.

No, the windows 7 not working is an issue with the Inner Space loader, not related to the game's decision to pack the .exe. They probably made this decision to pack the exe specifically for the Labor Day weekend and Argus content patch combination, to drastically reduce the number of *bots* and *hacks* for the first few weeks. (Not specifically related to ISBoxer/Multiboxing, or any version of Windows.)

Ah that makes allot of sense, thank you so much for your hard work, on the other hand while everyone is here is there a chance we could get a section opened on the forums for suggestions for isboxer etc from the consumers as i know there are a few little things everyone always needs but makes a massive difference. If there is already a forum section i apologize for my negligence.

Wanted to say Thank You Lax. I used to be a software engineer and understand the pains and stress you are going through.

I just updated to the current release per your instructions and noticed that isboxer is showing as out of date (for me) on the addons list. Possible this has something to do with some peoples issues? i.e. load out of date addons?

Hi Lax, just wanted to let you know that InnerSpace build 6186 has solved all the previous problems and it is all running normally again (windows 10, 64-bit). It made me appreciate how much I value having your easy-to-use multi-boxing software for doing most things in wow. Looking forward to getting some of the new Argus mounts with my multi-box teams (6x5 lvl 110s) now. Many thanks for all your hard work and really appreciate being back to multi-tasking with ISBoxer again.

Re: World of Warcraft 7.3.0 Compatibility - Update Sep 5 2017

Sadly, I’m one of the unlucky few that the patch didn’t work. At least I’m no longer getting the error message. It’s just not loading wow after innerspace loads up. I’m running Windows 10 pro. I’ve turned on download development (test) patch, closed the patcher and restarted my computer. When I run innerspace it loads the patch files ok. But when I click on my team to load, it pops up with a window quickly then goes away. I’ve tried turning off the download development (test) patch radial button, closing the patcher and restarting my computer again, but that downloads the old files (I think) as the error message we were getting since patch 7.3 launched pops up again. So, now I’ve got the radial button turned on again, and after restarting my computer once more, innerspace loads up fine, but wow does not.

I’m not in a big hurry to get it done, lax, so, for me anyway, rest up, take your time. All I’m using multiboxing for at the moment is leveling two alliance characters. I normally play horde and was just curious what the alliance quests looks like. So, I’m not in any rush to get to legion with those two, just curious. This is just to let you know the steps I’ve done in case it helps in any small way of finding the problem. (Not that I think it will, but on the off chance. . . ) Going back to solo play. Thanks again for all your hard work. I know it’s frustrating at your end to have a problem like this and it is being stubborn. I’m not a programmer (beyond basic before windows 3.1 that is) but I am a retired electronics tech and have seen my share of intermittent problems that make you want to take up drinking as a profession. I think I know what you’re going through and do not wish that on anyone. Again, thank you. And I read the original post with the;

“FAQ:
Q. Will I be compensated for not being able to play WoW this whole time?”

I do not want any compensation for this. The cost is $15 for 90 days, so that works out to something like $.17 a day. My sodas cost more than that. Buy yourself a soda on me, no compensation necessary.
