How do you guys dodge AoE attacks?

if my slaves are on follow.

Do I have to somehow broadcast keystrokes and hold S to run them all backwards?

And while we're on controlling my characters, are there any more advanced movement controls I can use to maybe move them in different directions during certain dungeons where they'll have to be in different spots, or dodge multiple aoe's or what not?

You can set up a Mapped Key which tells your other characters to strafe or something like that. I would guess that different types of "dodging" will need to be handled differently.
