Targeting in wow

Is there a way to select targets based on the Symbols you can place over a mobs head? I'm trying to find a way to have different characters attacking different mobs in some situations. So far I'm kind of unsure there is a way.

Is there a way to select targets based on the Symbols you can place over a mobs head? I'm trying to find a way to have different characters attacking different mobs in some situations. So far I'm kind of unsure there is a way.

Unfortunately, while it would be nice, you cannot select your target based upon any visual markers. The only other way I would know how to approach this would be to set a focus on those characters who need to be targeting something specific to them, but again, that's more limited than just being able to select a target based off of raid markers.

I actually plan to try to create menus or something that allows me to set the focus of characters in my group and toggle follow on and off. I'm sure there are other things I'd like to add. At the moment I just can not focus well enough to do it, having some medical issues that get in the way. You guys have done such an amazing job with this product making it accessible to practically anyone.
