Low FPS on Game Video, UI FPS is good!

I've tried every option I can find, however no matter what I do any background window will only show about 1-2 FPS for the actual game image, All the UI stuff (buff windows, Map window, chat...) have a good FPS, I can see maps scroll smoothly as I run, the fading buffs will blink normally, but the game image itself is very poor. Anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this or how to correct it?

I've made sure my power options are not limiting my CPU, I've tried with and without hyperthreading on nearly all processor options in the CPU wizard, I've only been able to get a good smooth graphics image once, but I lost that when I went in to tweak something else and haven't gotten it back!

Most of your performance settings are tied to your Characters and Character Set, both of which have not been shared in the above profile. Normally, we point people toward this page in the wiki so that they can look over a handful of things which may be causing issues.

Being EverQuest, it sounds like you're either using EQPlayNice (e.g. by also having WinEQ 2 running on your system) or another EQ-specific FPS limiting system that you can disable.

If the answer is "WinEQ 2" or "I'm running WinEQ 2 because I don't want to run this other one in ISBoxer" etc, you can simply disable EQPlayNice under the WinEQ 2 Preferences. After doing that you might need to close all of the game windows to fully unload it.

Rebooted the PC and it's working now.... will just be very careful for any future changes I guess...
