Actions to slots vs actions to characters

Config: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxQSoe ... sp=sharing

Note: Both pastebin and sharetext complain that this is too large for their service. I am happy to use any other service, but in the meantime this is the only solution I know will work..

My question for today: Why do actions sent to slots not work, yet the same action sent to a character works? In many cases I would prefer to set up actions for a slot rather than a character. Think of multiple charsets using an action.
In particular, I was adding more VIdeoFX sources and do not see them created when I send their action to a slot.

Re: Actions to slots vs actions to characters

You could also save your config in Notepad if you like, as a text file, and then use the Upload Attachment feature of the forum. Or you can hit the Code block above, and put your profile directly in your post..

Sending actions to Slots does work. You'd be hard pressed to find a situation that doesn't.

I'm going to guess that you are refering to the 000: General Hotkeys -> Manabars, and that the SlotXBuffs videofx actions are what you are referring to (with your large config it would be helpful to direct someone to the item in question).
From what I can see there, the videofx sources should be created when you press the CTRL+F3 hotkey. As these are sources, I assume you are meaning you do not see those sources popup in the ISBoxer in-game GUI (CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+G) when your press your hotkey. I've just tested this and as long as you have exported, and are running your mapped key, those sources should immediately show up and be available from all sessions via the ISBoxer in game GUI.

How do you know that the Source is not being created?

Re: Actions to slots vs actions to characters

Thanks Bob, those were indeed the actions I was thinking of. I wasn't seeing those sources popup in the in-game GUI until I directed them to the character. Perhaps a reload of ISBoxer would help (I've seen problems miraculously fix themselves this way in the past).

I'll try to get this question asking process down soon.
