Is there a way to hide dxnothing when you open inventory in D3? It covers item slots for characters.

I can do this window larger and setup everything but when I move it to proper place and change size (as a map size in diablo) it scaled everything down and work with ISBoxer Control Panel isn't possible.

If the window is too small to bring up the ISBoxer Control Panel you have to add VideoFX viewers in ISBoxer with the VideoFX Action. MiRai covers this part in one of his videos regarding VideoFX (linked in the ISBoxer wiki).

If your VideoFX viewers shows up pixelated then this is because of the window layout you use. I suggest switching to a stacked window layout if you like VideoFX and want to add more detailed widgets.

Window Style Action: With this Action you can change the behaviour of the specified windows handled by ISBoxer, if it should be in Foreground, Background or how the swapping should be handled.

Window State Action: With this Action you can change the Size, Position, and if the windows should be On Top of other windows. This Action applies it's changes immediately.

This should give you some ideas:
Create a Mapped Key with 2 Steps
In Step 1 add one Window Style Action to set the window to Foreground and one Window State Action to set it On Top.
In Step 2 add the same two Actions but change it to Background and not On Top.

This should "hide" the small Slot 5 behind the active Slot 1 and bring it on top with a press on the Hotkey.

a few questions... I think i'm really close to getting this to work.

1) Under windows layout option in isboxer.. does it matter if my dxnothing window is set to "always on top mode"?
2) In Step 1 & 2 which target should i be picking? All with current or just target character dxnothing?

When i'm pressing the hotkey that i've assigned, nothing happens in game. I've tried targeting all w/current, character slot (dxnothing) and character 5.. Nothing is working.
Thanks so much for your help!

If your dxNothing window is scaling down, then it is likely that in your Window Layout, the region for the dxNothing window is in the same Swap Group in your window layout as your game windows. This will cause it to try to initially size itself to the same as your main window (the one designated as the Reset region).

DXNothing windows should be in their own swap group, with no Reset/Active region designated for that swap group. If you have multiple dxNothings I recommend you put each in their own swap group.
