Follow/Assist Not Quite WOrking...

Hey again guys,

finally back and boxing again (only 2 to start this time!), and while I was able to get a basic setup going with 2 DKs, the follower does a few oddball things.. Sometimes he will assist/target/attack, but sometmes he..
1. Randomly will just stand there after a target has been downed and not switch
2. Not switch targets but still follow the lead
3. Stop dead
4. Run off to a random dead target from a previous fight
5. (My favorite) Decide in a scenario there is a dead target far off in the distance, whcih he appears hell bent on finding! When i brought the lead back to alt-f follow him, he swiched to the lead for a second, then back to the dead body. I had to repeat this process 5 times (not in combat, no target for lead), then eventually switch the window to swap him to lead. I still have no idea where he was trying to go, but it wouldve lead me to a spot we never hit in the scenario.

Im reasonably sure I messed something up with the combat hotkeys - I use a razer naga, in addition to my 1 thru = buttons independently of each other. The UI's are direct copies of each other, as are keybinds etc. Here is my config file below, I feel like keymaps/FTL/assist are one of the last functions in ISBoxer i still don't quite fully get.. Any help is appreciated, glad to be back!

I don't see anything wrong. Maybe you can be more specific as for what you're pressing when it happens? Perhaps it is the Naga and it's NumPad bindings? I'm not really sure.

Hm.. well, I'm honestly not quite sure how to be more specific.. Breaking it down to 1 issue, cna you see any reason why when i am ttacking a taget on my lead my follower does not attack? Could it potentially be a cooldown issue with the DK's, and if so, is there any way to ensure an auto-attack if, say, Scourge Strike (num 7 i believe) is on cooldown? Doing another scenario in a few, will see if I can find anything more specific. Thanks so far!

What jonesy suggested would be a possible reason for some of your trouble, but I don't have an answer for why your character would want to try and interact with something way off the screen like you describe during that scenario (especially since Interact does have a limited range on it).

I think he may be right as well - I may be a little confused as to my approach to combat with these guys (first melee squad) - How do i guaruntee (or at least try to increase the likeliehood) of my follower attacking my target? It seems like its a distance issue.

Should i be using IWT every time i retarget? Or should I just rely on alt-f and put myself slightly past the target on my follower as i've seen? Is there anyway to makey my standard hotkeys for an IWT? I think it's my approach, any suggestion are appreciated.

That's up to you and how you want to play. Some people rely on IWT all day long, others don't. Do you want to continuously deal with and can you effectively deal with runaways? Or do you want to continuously press your follow key every time you need to move your melee characters with a mobile enemy?

This is why melee isn't always the easiest to multibox.

Sure. You can add an Action into each of your Mapped Keys (Do Mapped Key Action) which also calls the IWT Mapped Key.
