Character " problem

Hi,

I am having problem with some keymaps in Vanguard SoH:

Due to availabilty of only 3 hotbars that could be hotkeyed in-game I want to unclutter some of the space by keymapping party buffs within Isboxer. The way I do it is creating two-step keymaps executable both on press or release, for example

/cast "Seradon's Vision II"

Step 1
self - keystroke "/"

Step 2
self - keystroke "C"
self - keystroke "A"
self - keystroke "S"
self - keystroke "T"
self - keystoke "Space"
self - keystoke " Shift+' " - as there is no keystroke in the drop-down to send " character
self - keystroke "S"
...
and so on with the rest of the spell name followed by "Enter"

The problem is since Shift has been pressed it will apply to the rest of the keysends since it all happens nearly instantly, thefore my character ' (after Seradon) is received by the game as "

and the game receives

/cast "SERADON"S VISION II" - which is incorrect and is not executed.

and suggestions how to get around it? Is it possible to include " in the drop down list to avoid having to use Shift to send it?

Re: Character " problem

There's no way around this without separating Characters requiring Shift into their own step.

Why are using Shift at all? Apostrophe is the default, unmodified Character.

EDIT: Leaving my original question just in case; after re-reading I see it's not the apostrophe in Seradon's, rather the surrrounding quotation marks.

Re: Character " problem

This is not an intended use of the Keystroke Action, and indeed it holds all of those keys. If you put one Keystroke Action with Shift+X and then another with Y in the same step, it will become Shift+X+Y.

You should be able to use the Key String Action for this instead of using a chain of Keystroke Actions to type something.

Re: Character " problem

well, keystrings were the first thing I have tried (even though I dislike using them), but for some reason not all of the string is transmitted -

I get

/cast "Seradon's

ingame, not the full command. Note sure why it happens. The question stands - can you make quotation marks keystroke stand-alone rather than a shift+' combo? nearly all my other spells that dont have " 's " work pretty good, so it would be shame to lose that functionality because of this hitch

EDIT: For the time being I found a workaround (not the most efficient but it works). I have created new Keymaps "Alphabet" and put entire alphabet and all punctuation marks in it as well, as separate mapped keys. Now, when I create a cast action I want to use, rather than assigning keystrokes, I use these mapped keys to spell out what I need the game to receive. This way SHIFT applies only to the quotation marks mapped key and it all fires off smoothly.
