Re: Bnet error #114 when launching through ISboxer

Assuming you tried (and successfully executed) the DNS and hosts file fixes that I linked in the IRC channel the other day, my last and final guess (an absolute shot in the dark), would be to move your WoW folder out of your Program Files folder and directly into the C:\.

You will need to alter the path to the executable to reflect this change - http://isboxer.com/wiki/Game_Profile

If you're talking about setting the dns to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, yea I've done that. Didn't help. Again, what doesn't make sense is all of the fixes for error 114 are for when WoW itself isn't working. Mine is, except via innerspace. That's why it doesn't make sense.

Inner Space introduces different compatibility with other programs. This is why I asked you to shut down other programs. The DNS shouldn't matter because that's going to be the same with or without IS, but other programs may operate differently with than without.

Right, I figured as much. Just not sure where to go from here.

Re: Bnet error #114 when launching through ISboxer

Would there be any compatibility issues with the new IS or ISB versions? I noticed a new build since I played last. Or would it be more with 5.4.1 WoW?
I'm curious if there's a way I could get the old build of IS and ISB that used to work for me, to test that out.

Re: Bnet error #114 when launching through ISboxer

It's not likely that any of those things (IS/ISBoxer/WoW versions) will fix it. If that was the only factor, you wouldn't be the only one having the issue...

It's probably some program running on your PC now that was not there before, or has had some change since then that broke its compatibility with IS. Reverting to an older version won't fix that compatibility.

The only way to fix this is going to be to figure out which program it is and shut it down, and then perhaps I can fix it in Inner Space with that information. You can pretty much go down the list of running programs and try shutting things down and see what happens.

As a last resort, you can always do a clean install of Windows and it should work just fine (at that point your system is the same as everyone else's). This has the added benefit of letting you install programs until it breaks, instead of trying to hunt down which one it is while it's already crashing.

Can you see anything that's still running from that last diag? I know my way around computers but not enough to troubleshoot something like this without some practice.
From what I can see, I did shut everything down? In not sure what processes i can shut down without causing some problems for windows.
I used to do regular formats, to keep my computer running smoothly, but I don't have my windows disc anymore, so unless I can find one that's not too easy.

Re: Bnet error #114 when launching through ISboxer

Sure.. these are from your last paste (yes, including IOBit even though you said they're all gone). I'm not sure you can shut down all of these, and it's probably not the Apple, Skype, or Netgear stuff. The "PD" stuff is PerfectDisk, I don't know much about that one.

Code:
Running processes:
1. AppleMobileDeviceService - Process ID: 1756 (C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\AppleMobileDeviceService.exe)
2. ASRsrv - Process ID: 1780 (C:\Program Files (x86)\IObit\Advanced Spyware Remover\ASRsrv.exe)
3. audiodg - Process ID: 1064 4. c2c_service - Process ID: 2400 (C:\ProgramData\Skype\Toolbars\Skype C2C Service\c2c_service.exe)
24. PDAgent - Process ID: 2044
25. PDAgentS1 - Process ID: 3824
26. PDEngine - Process ID: 2908
56. WifiSvc - Process ID: 2612 (C:\Program Files (x86)\NETGEAR\WNDA3100v2\WifiSvc.exe)
65. WNDA3100v2 - Process ID: 2116 (C:\Program Files (x86)\NETGEAR\WNDA3100v2\WNDA3100v2.exe)

Here's the only things that show up in the game process. These are pretty common and I haven't seen them cause problems like this for others anytime recently.
Code:
Modules loaded by Wow:
52. C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Windows Live\WLIDNSP.DLL
53. C:\Program Files (x86)\Bonjour\mdnsNSP.dll

Hate to say it. I love ISBoxer, but might be time to find something else. I don't know what the F is going on. :x
