Some issues

Hello Guys

Im totally new to the mb-scene (joined today, lol :-) )

So I watched over and over the quick start Guide. But I dont get rid of some problems.

1.)My chars dont follow the one, in which window im actually in. They just walk and walk and walk.. The combination doesnt work for me which I found in some guides to follow my character.. :-(

2.) When i attack an npc, then just the "first" character attacks him.. The other 4 just stand there and there imps cast also..

...

Those are my first problems. Hope you really can help me.

Excuse my bad english, im not the best in it.

*from switzerland :-)*

Greetings

Did you make sure the ISBoxer Addon is enabled?

When you press Alt+F and you're in window 1, it's going to send Left Shift+F11 to the other windows in order to make them follow that character. This is something you can test yourself in each window -- go to window 2, press Left Shift+F11, and see what happens. If it follows the toon in window 1, Alt+F should work as long as Key Maps are enabled. If Left Shift+F11 does not make you follow character 1, either the ISBoxer Addon is not enabled in the game, or some key binding is configured in the game to use F11 or Shift+F11 and is overriding ISBoxer's follow macro.

You're playing on an official WoW server, right? If you're not playing on an official WoW server, the ISBoxer Addon may just be unable to create these macros for you. In that case, you should pick "Other" during the Quick Setup Wizard on the first page, and then follow the Quick Start Guide for pretty much any other game and pretend it's for WoW. (That's about as far as I can help you if this is the case.)

2.) When i attack an npc, then just the "first" character attacks him.. The other 4 just stand there and there imps cast also..

Probably the same issue as #1: either the macros are not getting installed by the ISBoxer Addon (e.g. because it isn't loaded), the assist macro's key (Left Shift+Backspace to assist window 1, similar to Left Shift+F11 for follow) is overridden by something else in the game, or you don't have Key Maps on.

Yes, i did :)

This only works when I do it in every window. And then they follow and attack, but they dont take quests or other stuff. When I loose them, I have to switch in every window and take them back. :(

How can I take quests with them and interact? The version with the "interact" - (J) does not work and I did it like in the video.

Yes, on an european live WoW server. :) (Antonidas - German - PvE)

EDIT:

I get it for some point. To make them follow me, i have to broadcast to all. But how can i interact with questgivers?

I saw in an other thread that i have to make them interact and then i can broadcast all and click through the quest.

Re: Some issues

Show us your ISBoxer configuration then so we can see what you might have done to it... http://isboxer.com/wiki/Configuration_Sharing

Re: Some issues

Okay. This is a standard configuration straight from the wizard, so as long as Key Maps are enabled (Shift+Alt+M to toggle), Alt+F should make everyone follow, and when you press 1 everyone on your team will target the same thing as the active window, and also press 1.

If pressing Shift+F11 worked to follow, as you indicated before, then the ISBoxer Addon is confirmed to be enabled.

How can I take quests with them and interact? The version with the "interact" - (J) does not work and I did it like in the video.

You have yours configured for Shift+J rather than just J, both for the Hotkey you press to make everyone on your team interact, as well as the Key Combination that gets sent to the game in order to interact. If the game is not configured with Shift+J for Interact with Target in the Key Bindings screen, then you should change this in ISBoxer under "Variable Keystrokes" -- select Variable Keystrokes in the top left pane, click Interact with Target in the bottom left pane, and then set the "Default Key Combination" to whatever is configured in the game.

Key Maps must also be enabled for this to work. (Shift+Alt+M to toggle)

Note that "Broadcasting Mode" should be off, usually. (Shift+Alt+R to toggle) Turn this mode on when you want to click through the quest window to accept or complete quests, etc.
