Need help with Round Robin (problems again)

Hi,

I had posted before about the round robin and posted my config and I know Lax had said he didn't see anything wrong with it. I eventually got it working. What I had to do is every time I launched D3 I would have to shut down Inner space and then relaunch it and my round robin would then start working.

This is no longer the case and I am not sure why. It is back to being buggy again. I am running the Debug Console and I don't know if this is normal but I noticed that the Debug console says "Button: from repeater@is4: release 2"

Is that right? I mean it just says release. Could this be why its not working properly? I really need to have it back working because I stagger buffs on my WD's.

edit: I think I figured out what was going on. When 4 boxing in D3 you pretty much need to hold Shift down when attacking and while holding Shift down and then I press 2 , it uses 2 on all four clients, but when I press 2 without any modifiers it works correctly. I will try to figure out how to be able to hold shift and still be able to tap 2 when needed, if not I will just stop attacking for few and use my round robin that way.

Re: Need help with Round Robin (problems again)

Yea that was it. So thats kinda good to know.

If anyone else is having problems with round robin and you hold shift to fight in combat, you need to make 2 keymaps for each round-robin you want.

For example I have big bad voodoo on 4. So if I want to I can press 4 once and one of my toons drops the totem. Here is where the problems arise, if you are in combat and you are holding shift and left click or right click to dps, and you press 4 then all four of your clients will use them. So what I did was went in and made another round-robin keymap and set it to Shift-4 and this solved the issues I was having where my round-robin wasn't working like intended all the time.

Instead of making a second Round-robin key map on Shift+<number>, do an Alternate Hotkey for your existing non-shifted Round-robin button. This way you keep the order of your original Round-robin key

The way I have it currently set is through a white list through Default broadcasting and just have the lettes/numbers I use in game to be sent. I am pretty new to using Isboxer and so not sure exactly what you mean.

If you could tell me a better way to set all this up I would love that. Thanks for your help.

Re: Need help with Round Robin (problems again)

Right, you use default broadcasting and then add Mapped Keys using the wizard for things like Round-robin. So what you have right now, I assume from your previous posts, is 2 Round-robin keys -- one for 4 and one for Shift+4.

What I would do is go delete the one for Shift+4. Select the Key Map it's in in the top left pane (the one you used the Mapped Key Wizard for, right?) and then in the bottom left pane, delete the Round-robin Shift+4 mapping.

Then, also in the bottom left pane with that Key Map selected in the top left pane, right click your Round-robin 4 key, and select "Create Alternate Hotkey". This will make a separate mapping that re-uses the first one. After it's made, select it in the bottom left, and set its Hotkey in the bottom right to Shift+4.

For future reference to set up both the "4" and "Shift+4" this can all be done with the Mapped Key Wizard. First pick the Round-Robin option in the wizard, and the second time use the Alternate Hotkey in the wizard. (Or, find it in your Key Map and right click it and select Create Alternate Hotkey and then set its Hotkey, same as above)

Ah I gotcha, I will do this now. Thanks allot.

You think its ok that I just use the default keymap and repeater like it is with white list, or should I make special keymaps also?

I know I have problem every once in while I press a hotkey to turn off repeater while the key is pressed and if I am holding dowm my movement key , say left/right click or the actual movement hotkey in D3 which for me is Grave key"~", then sometimes it gets stuck down with no release, 3 of my characters start running off , usually to there deaths.

Is there a way I can create it so that when I press a key to toggle repeating off while this key is pressed, that any key want get stucked down with no release because I forgot to release prior to toggling the repeater? I hope I said that right :)

Thanks.
