Good class combos?

I have just started duel boxing. I'm running a pair of hunters and so far it's been great. However, I would like to run two different classes at the same time but still be able to take advantage of the key broadcasting capability of ISBoxer/Inner. I need two classes that have very similar rotations, but I don't know many of the classes that well.

Could anyone suggest a class combo that would work like this?

Re: Good class combos?

Technically you just need similar buttons, not similar rotations. If you use WoW Macros, the rotations can be pretty much done for you :)

I have my rogue, two mages and a paladin using the same (single) key for DPS. They all use a /castsequence macro which does all the legwork.

Re: Good class combos?

Just about every class will benefit from the use of "Click Castsequences".

If you go to http://www.dual-boxing.com, to the Macro/Addon forum, there is a post by "Bigfish" which explains this.
It is constantly bumped, so should be on the 1st or 2nd page of threads.
The thread is called "Utilizing Click to Run Concurrent Castsequences".
Alternatively, I wrote a guide here: http://multiboxing.com/forums/f4/wow-us ... -1559.html

There are also several examples on the dual-boxing wiki.
http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.p ... sing_Click

Click is basically a master macro, which calls multiple castsequences at once.
WoW executes macros top down, which means you can prioritize which lands first.
And with commas in the castsequences, based on your personal spam speed, you control how quickly they recast.

Re: Good class combos?

/click is a crutch thats no longer needed with ISBoxers keymaps and the timed progressions.

Re: Good class combos?

For 2 character boxing I would recommend Affliction Warlock/Resto Druid. Dot Dot Dot, Hot Hot Hot, lifetap lifetap. Basically u never need to stop for a mana break, each mob takes maybe 3-4.5 secs to kill (depending on gear and lvl of mob). And you should be able to solo a lot really, blueberries are imba tanks if u heal them and stay cool with the aggro.

Forgot to mention, a big upside is that the spells can be cast while running.

Re: Good class combos?

Right now I'm running my 3man team up to level 80

2x Boomkin 1x Holy Priest

Serious AoE killage. When those are all 80, I'll take one of my boomkins, convert to resto, drop the priest for my 80 affliction lock and probably use my Pally as a tank for a 4 man team of

Pally Tank, Boomkin, Afflicion Lock, Resto Druid.. all in all I think it'll be one helluva team :D

Re: Good class combos?

Just to add, having a hunter in the team just for Aspect of the Pack really helps. For example, it saves lots of time when running back to the boss you are working on. Or for getting through the places where Blizzard forces us to walk. You can trudge forward in that pathetic slow jog, or make them actually run properly with AotP.
