Key strike memory

I don't know if I changed something to cause this, but when I hit a key several times, it keeps the keystrikes in some sort of que and sends them all. This is causing problems for me as things change and I need to use different abilities. Can anyone help me stop this from happening?

Re: Key strike memory

There is no feature in ISBoxer to allow you to queue keystrokes or any way of achieving this. Some games do, however, have such a queuing system. It's also possible one of the options in Windows in Control Panel, Ease of Access Center is causing the behavior you are seeing.

Any chance you can provide more information? For example, what game are you playing? Can we see your config? HOWTO: Share your configuration for better support

Any help is appreciated. It's a pretty simple setup that I use for Everquest 2. I put heals on one macro on my fury and dps macro on my coercer. I just spam 2. There's another button that I use for group cures/mana flow for the two characters. It wasn't doing this till maybe a week ago. I've tried to turn off all programs running using task manager and it doesn't help. If I can provide any other information that will help, please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Key strike memory

I did check Ease of Access Center and didn't find anything there that would cause the problem I'm experiencing.

Re: Key strike memory

I did just think of something my wife said a couple weeks ago and it could be a possibility. She mentioned one of 'her friends' put a keylogger on her husbands comp. I'm wondering if she's done this to my computer lol. I have nothing to hide from her, but she's paranoid as hell that I'm going to cheat on her or something.

Everquest 2 has an ability queue. See the "queuing" section of this old post for how this affects us.

There is a slash command in EQ2 to clear the ability queue.

Re: Key strike memory

The spell/ability queing in eq2 only que's up one spell. If you hit and start a cast, and then hit two other abilities, the third one will overright the second one hit. So, in the game it is not possible to que up 30 abilities. This is what is going on. After a mob is dead, the two characters on my laptop will continue to fire off heals and dps. In addition, if I need to change targets, hit a spell/ability not included in the macro. I'll do some research, like loading both accounts outside of isboxer and see if I can create the same backlog. If I can't, then its definately something to do with ISBoxer.

Re: Key strike memory

I have the same issue. Its worse on long fights.
I sometimes 3 box and am able to 6 box. Typically my healer is on a second pc (laptop).
High level example simplified: I use a step process. I click "/" and it sends 1, click again it sends 2, click again sends 3, etc

If i do this really fast, say 2-3 times a second the main pc processes it, and you can see it tries to execute them. The laptop on the other hand, tries to execute them also but ends up getting behind. So after a 3 minute fight has completed, the laptop continues to cast abilities for the next 20 seconds.

This isn't good, but what makes it worse is during the fight if I need to cast a cure, it can be 5 -10 seconds before it attempts it. It also often blocks me from clicking it manually via the mouse. I suspect it's the speed at which the laptop is able to process the keystrokes.

As for eq2, it only queues up 2 at a time, but somehow the laptop is still processing the last say 30 keystrokes or so. It may get them in within the next 10 seconds. Idealy it would have processed them already.
