The latest Inner Space patch?
Most of the time for these kinds of issues, you should
start with a diagnostic for crashes (yep, even though it is not crashing).
The only thing that really changed with the last Inner Space patch is that it moved to autolaunch itself in 64bit. You an prevent this by using either the named parameter on the command line, or get the dev patch and select the option to launch in 32bit.
To get the dev build, right click Inner Space in the system tray (notification area) and select Patcher, tick "Download development (test) patches" and then close and restart Inner Space to let it patch up. Then right click it again, select Configuration, and then tick (put a red dot in) the option for 32bit Inner Space, then exit and restart Inner Space again.
The other option is to edit your desktop shortcut and put " -32bit" (w/o the quotes) at the end of the Target command, and then load Inner Space (close it if it was already running).
