[WoW] "Pro CLS Config" for EVERYONE : UPDATED 11/13/2012

REMINDER: On Testing.

Reminder, this is the link to what is needed on testing:

As you see in this post, it has a list of classes, levels and specs there that are untested by YOU. I have tested everything on my end, but rather hear the feedback from each and everyone wanting an overall solution to ridding of your in-game macros and using the powerful ISBoxer Game Helpers "Macro sets" Also, this is for anyone needing the edge on getting up and running with ISBoxer FAST and FURIOUS :) Starting from level one to ninety! :)


Below are the steps that I do when creating a new team with this configuration:

1. Add new team within ISboxer

2. Export to Innerspace

3. Load up the game with all of your characters so ISBoxer has a clean team, without assigning anything yet to the characters or team

4. Close out game fully

5. Assign each Character it's Virtual Mapped Key (NOTE: THIS IS IMPORTANT!)

5a. Assign each of your Characters to it's respective Key Maps per Class Level and Spec (aka CLS) by simply having your character selected (top-left of ISBoxer) and dragging ALL of the Key Maps down to the bottom left of ISBoxer that pertain to your character:

Example: Deathknight level 55, I'll end up dragging each of the following Key Maps to this Deathknight:

56-60 Frost DK
61-70 Frost DK
71-80 Frost DK
81-86 Frost DK
87-90 Frost DK

56-60 Blood DK
61-70 Blood DK
71-80 Blood DK
81-86 Blood DK
87-90 Blood DK

56-60 Unholy DK
61-70 Unholy DK
71-80 Unholy DK
81-86 Unholy DK
87-90 Unholy DK

NOTE: As you see here, this will not interfere with anything since everything is driven via the Virtual Combat System of ISBoxer :) If you need a refresher on how this all works, see this Wiki Page: http://isboxer.com/wiki/HOWTO:Configure ... like_a_pro

NOTE II: Adding each of these will save you time later on if you decide to swap specs for another spec so you don't have to come back and assign Key Maps again. Just change the Virtual Mapped Key to whatever you are running.

5b. (Optional and good for the Melee, if you wanted to work with the IWT if you're not driving with a melee character) Assign each Character it's Action Target Group

7. Assign each Character SET the Virtual Combat and Combat Hotkeys (Key Maps)

8. Assign each Macro Set (Deathknight, Druid, Hunter, Mage and etc...) to each toon by selecting each one within the Game Helpers

9. Export to Innerspace and go wreck havoc!

I'm willing to test this configuration out and provide you feedback regardless if your configuration is broken or works perfectly, I still kind of new to the whole ISBoxer but I'm slowly getting their!, i would be doing dual boxing Lock/Lock (both 40+) as I'm currently leveling them as of 05/10/12 ^_^, Warrior/Monk(both 45), Druid/Hunter(both 60) and even possibly Rogue/Lock (both 85) but i will be doing more in the future! as at the moment I've got RaF so i will be leveling quite fast and ill write any problems or praise i have towards them hopefully more praise!! So please get back to me on whether i gain access or not thanks :D

Started Testing with CLS this evening. Initial setup was easy enough, i had to modify mine slight as i use 5 computers, instead of 5 on one box, but it was very simple to modify for that.

I still reviewing the 1-10 Warrio to make sure everything works and looks good.


1 thing i did see is that within the Control Key Map -> Activate Maps Mapping, it still has FTL DPS keys on/off and is missing Virtual Combat on/off and Combat Hotkeys on/off. Is this by design or are you wishing people to modify it post-setup to be able to turn key maps off and on?

Virtual Combat has no Hotkeys and therefore should not be added to the Activate Maps toggle. (Nor should the class/spec-specific Key Maps) It should definitely toggle Combat Hotkeys though, you're right.

There are times when you might want to toggle Virtual Combat on or off, but it will be different than the Activate Maps toggle. Activate Maps is toggling the front end, the part that interprets your Hotkeys. But, say you want some specific Character to stop doing things, as opposed to everyone. All you would need to do is send a Key Map State Action to that Character, to disable Virtual Combat, and this will cut off that Character (on the back end, the part that sends keys to the game) from the DPS Rotation, Interrupts, etc. :) But you should never need to disable Virtual Combat in all windows as part of Activate Maps.

Virtual Combat has no Hotkeys and therefore should not be added to the Activate Maps toggle. (Nor should the class/spec-specific Key Maps) It should definitely toggle Combat Hotkeys though, you're right


After looking into the keymaps a bit more, i finally saw that Virtual Combat had no Hotkeys. I have to fix my toggle again to take that out.

Testing Report

Macro Set:
Warrior & Druid
Key Maps: 1-10 Warrior-Fury & 1-10 Druid-Balance
Mapped Key: DPS Rotation & Mapped Key: AOE DPS Rotation & Mapped Key: Stun (on warriors)

All worked as intended no major changes needed. I'm currently within the 11-20 Warrior-Fury and im still debating on if im going to level my druid balance or move to resto. I made a minor change to my Stuns on 1-10 for my warriors so it does not round-robin the Charges as i wish my warriors to all be on the same target at the same time. This was a personal preference change.

Testing Report - Team is level 33-35: Prot Warrior, Resto Druid, Marks Hunter, Shadow Priest, Arcane Mage

Macro Sets tested: Warrior, Hunter, Mage, Priest
Key Maps tested: 31-40 Protection Warrior, 31-40 Marksman Hunter, 31-40 Arcane Mage, 31-40 Shadow Priest

1. In the Warrior Macro Set, the name of the Macro for Impending Victory is misspelled as "Impending Vicotry (Talent)". It still works correctly because the macro is correctly spelled.
2. While all of the DPS Rotation Mapped Keys for Prot Warrior, Marks Hunter, Shadow Priest and Arcane Mage technically work, none of them are particularly efficient or give good DPS. Here are some suggested replacements (only if you are planning to go to this level of detail for every class/level/spec combination):


Prot Warrior: 2 steps on press or release, Step 1 has Impending Victory/Victory Rush, Shield Slam, Revenge, Execute, Step 2 has Devastate.

1. In the Warrior Macro Set, the name of the Macro for Impending Victory is misspelled as "Impending Vicotry (Talent)". It still works correctly because the macro is correctly spelled.
2. While all of the DPS Rotation Mapped Keys for Prot Warrior, Marks Hunter, Shadow Priest and Arcane Mage technically work, none of them are particularly efficient or give good DPS. Here are some suggested replacements (only if you are planning to go to this level of detail for every class/level/spec combination):


1. OOOPS! Yes I made sure the macros themselves /cast Impending Victory were 100% correct before going forward. Because I recall a guy trying this where he had heaps of issues with misspelled /cast abiiilitieslikethsi which caused others mass confusion on trying to find where the problem was. However this has been fixed in the "labeling" of this macro.

2.
Thanks again for the contribution and ideas to expand it more for a better DPS overall in each level / bracket. As I leave it where others could move them around by doing right click inside each step and sorting them up and down or however they like. I'm keeping the fundamentals in mind, basically because some that are new to WoW or Multiboxing with "NO" macro experience to give them a bit of an edge on just plug and play, and sort out however they like to have their keymaps.

However you gave me an idea to build an "Advanced Set of Macros" in lieu of the DPS Rotation Key Maps :) Where I believe this will benefit any who are ready to dive a bit deeper into macros later on when they feel comfortable.

Testing Report


Macro Set: Druid & Warlock
Key Maps: 1-10 Balance Druid & 1-10 Demonology Warlock
Mapped Keys: DPS Rotation (1)


Not sure why, but the Druids are Interacting with the Targets (running up and engaging in melee) while the Warlocks are not.
None of the toons are in the melee ATG (they're all in the Ground AoE ATG).
Spells seem to be firing off fine.

Druids are getting a lot of "Spell Interrupted", whenever they do anything with a cast time but run towards their target to kill it.

Having some trouble with this.


Some of them will just try to auto attack instead of using spells.

While my mage will sit.

I feel like I am missing one small detail on setting it up or something.

Cool. Keeping it simple makes a lot of sense.
