New Multiboxer, setting up questions

So i'm new to this whole multiboxing thing and I've probably gone a little overboard for my first time multiboxing, but oh well.

I've created a 5 man team. 1 paladin tank, 1 discipline priest, and 3 elemental shamans.

First issue:

I generally play the tank, and the let the other 4 stand in the back. Right now I've just setup an attack skill on 1, and only use that while fighting. I'm level 10 now though and got a bunch of different abilities, so i think it's time to start expanding.

For my healer, I thought of two options. First would be to use heal-bot and just setup click regions to do my healing. Second was to use hot-keys. Not sure which method is best.

I know how to setup the click regions and all that, but I'm kind of confused on how to setup the hot-keys how i'd like. I'd like to do something like Shift+1 heals slot 1, Shift+2 heals slot 2 etc... and I was thinking I could setup action-bar macros to do this but I can't figure out how to disable the current action-bar key repeating for just the healer slot. So if I press 1, I want it to go to all characters BUT the healer, and when I press Shift+1, it will call 1 on the healer.

Maybe the heal-bot method would be the best approach, but I think moving mouse and clicking would be slower than hot-keys? i dunno :(.

Second issue:

Some of my add-on windows have gotten out of sync by me accidentally moving while not in repeater mode. Is there an easy way to sync these back up?

Third:

If anyone has any tips or links to videos etc... on playing a 5 man team let me know :)

I think it boils down to personal preference, there's really no one-size-fits-all. Clicking is a super simple way to do healing, with the caveat that it ties up your mouse control; this has the unintended consequence of being unable to heal during the times when you absolutely need your mouse for other reasons (e.g. moving out of harm's way) and I found that to be a problem in various boss fights. Hotkeys come in handy for these situations, but then you're limited by "Fat finger syndrome" or having to look at your keyboard to make sure you're healing the right guy. So there's definitely pros and cons either way :)

Okay. First, set up an Action Target Group for the Characters you want to do things together. (e.g. everyone but the healer)
Then you will want to change the existing 1 through = broadcasting to send to this ATG instead of to "Window:All w/ Current". Depending on whether you chose the Menu when using the Quick Setup Wizard, this is either going to be done in the Standard Menu Button Set, or in the Combat Key Map (no Menu).

No Menu: To find the Combat Key Map expand Key Maps in the top left pane, and select Combat underneath it. Then expand each of the DPS buttons and select the "1" under Steps. This will bring up the Actions list to the right, where it does "Assist Me" and then "1 -> all" (or 2, etc). Click the 1 -> all, and then adjust the Target box to the right to be wherever you want the 1 button to go.

With Menu: To find the Standard Menu Button Set expand Menus in the top left pane and select Standard underneath it. Then in the bottom left pane, under Button Sets, click on Standard Assist+Broadcast. At this point on the right, you will see the whole list of 12 buttons and each will already be expanded to show the same thing that would otherwise be in the Combat Key Map -- Assist Me and then "1 -> all" etc. Same thing as described above, click the 1 -> all, and then adjust the Target box to the right to be wherever you want the 1 button to go.

As far as adding Shift+1 to send 1 to the healer, the easiest way to set this up is using the Mapped Key Wizard. Use the Wizards menu and select Mapped Key Wizard. It'll ask where you want to put this Mapped Key -- probably under Combat or Non-combat. Then it will ask what kind of key to set up. Because you want to send a different key than you're pressing, you're looking for "Key Re-map". It will then ask you what Hotkey you want to press, what key you want sent, and where to send it

Some of my add-on windows have gotten out of sync by me accidentally moving while not in repeater mode. Is there an easy way to sync these back up?

Reset your UI and redo it from scratch? ;) I never found a particularly convenient way of fixing that myself.

My tip for playing your multi-class 5-man team is to check out the Pro config video via the Style: MMO - Pro page

Depending entirely what addons you use you may be able to make use of Profiles. There was even an addon that provided profiling for addons that didn't support it natively though I don't remember the name. I have a customized profile I use as my stock base that isn't named default and isn't named for one of my toons.

Setting up a new toon or resetting a toon for me is as simple as loading them up with the addons turned on and copying the genericly named profile to the character named profile. (This is done in game in the Profiles section of the addon's config.) I do it this way so I don't accidentally mess up my "stock" profile. Again, depending on the addons you are using this may have to be done 1 - x times however I think picking a profile from a drop down is still faster than trying to line up those damn pixels just so.

I am running same team method now i dont know what level you are at the moment but i found it extremely easy to just seat on the driver seat on my Disc and controll all by from him tank ran out and pulled and everything went gravy. now when i got to 40 i switch and drove from tank and dropping all at distance and dps with the disc and thats going smooth too....
