ISBoxer attempts to launch but freezes

I am new to IS Boxer. I am playing original Everquest. I ran the initial setup wizard in IS Boxer and created my character set with three toons I created for this test. After all the setup, I attempted to log in thru innerspace my character set of three. It appeared to load all three accounts and it froze at the log in screens. none of the characters logged into the game.
I closed the program down and tried to log in my characters thru the normal channels, and all of them worked fine except one. This was the first character to try and log into the game with IS Boxer. It turned out that somehow the toons character files became corrupted and it would fail to log in every attempt. Other toons on that account could log in without issue. I ultimately fixed the problem by deleting all of that one toons character files in my EQ directory, and when I restarted the game he could log in.

My question is what do I need to do to keep this from happening again, it was a long process to figure out how to fix it and I would like to avoid having it happen again, not to mention I am jonesing to multibox.

Thanks for any and all help. Happy boxing to you all.

Re: ISBoxer attempts to launch but freezes

I'd have to say it is kind of unusual, but the corruption of the files was most likely EQ failing to load up correctly, and you having to crash out of it. This would need to be resolved going forward. Perhaps a diagnostic for crashes is needed??

ISBoxer Toolkit will create copies of your base eqclient.ini and eqlsplayerdata.ini files, so you have per character files when loaded under ISBoxer. This is so you multiboxing configuration can be different to a standalone setup, usually because you will end up using different resolutions and potentially in game graphic settings when boxing, to when playing standalone. You can delete these at any time, and they will be recreated when you next start you team, although if you do this, they will have the game default settings. If you want you can re-copy your base files to the per character ones manually, or you can use the Virtual File Wizard in ISBoxer Toolkit and it will copy them for you (if you don't have existing files).

Re: ISBoxer attempts to launch but freezes

Well I was able to successfully log in and play three characters now. My best guess with the corrupt character files was something to do with that account running in full screen mode. Now my next problem is that on any of the three accounts when I use my mouse right button to pan the camera view around, it goes to my characters feet and is very difficult to regain control, but then will do it again. I adjusted the mouse sensitivity but not any better. any ideas?

Re: ISBoxer attempts to launch but freezes

As covered in this thread about the same issue, it is likely the game resolution is not matching your Windows Layout resolution. ISBoxer will be "telling" the game that the resolution should be whatever your Active/Reset region is in in your Window Layout. If you happen to be setting it to something else, then you will experience the camera dropping to look at your feet on the right mouse button.
