Slave windows freezing

Sorry if this is the wrong section, please remove.

My main instance of world of warcraft is working fine however my slave window visually is frozen. My google help skills suck so I couldn't fix this myself. Please help.

Re: Slave windows freezing

This is normally a graphics driver issue.
If you are using an NVidia driver, try v359.06
If you are using an AMD card, try the last Catalyst install (don't install Raptr)

Failing that, get a diagnostic http://isboxer.com/wiki/Diagnostics

Here are my diagnostics. http://pastebin.com/ht2FPMAc

Also I am using a Nvidia Card gtx980M running version 364.78. [Laptop - ran isboxer 8 months back without an issue].

Re: Slave windows freezing

So, at the risk of repeating myself.
Try NVidia driver v359.06 or 358.87. On of which was out 8 months ago, and one which was a little bit later, but is known to be good. v364 drivers were not out 8 months ago.

You might also try without AVG installed as it appears to be hooking your games, and that can sometimes cause issues.
Code:
4. C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\Av\avghooka.dll [16.61.0.7539] [AVG Technologies CZ, s.r.o.] [AVG Hook Library]

We could go into all the other overkill monitoring stuff that appears to be running in the background, but I'm sure you can see it all listed there.

Thanks I do appreciate your time. I am not very tech heavy but could I just add isboxer, wow, innerspace to the exceptions list?
Or would it still affect the performance?
Also, would windows 10 have anything to do with this?

Re: Slave windows freezing

/e nvrmind. I see from the split post that you solved your issue.

You could try putting them in the exception list. I do use that myself, but each AV is a little bit different and it may or may not work.

Normally as part of the process of determining why things aren't working, it is recommended to shutdown all non essential applications/services, and uninstall any antivirus applications. Then if it works after that, you can then enable things, or reinstall them, until it stops. Then you know the last thing you did caused the issue, and you then see if 1. you really need it, or 2. if there is some method to work around it, exclusions being one of those.

We have had, some people go so far as to reinstall their PC, to resolve an issue, which had no apparent reason to it, but after a reinstall it worked correctly, so we could only ever assume there was something corrupted or a driver somewhere that changed as part of that process.
