Is it possible to get this setup?

Hello,

I am currently in my 7-days trial and want to get the following setup:
I run 2 monitors and 4 Accounts. On the first monitor there should be 1 character in full screen. On the second monitor all the other characters should be stacked in full screen and a dxnothing window should be on top of them in full screen aswell.
Unfortunately I can not find any suitable option in the window layout wizard. I read about a "full screen per character (swapping)" option though and I think it might be what I need, but this option is not showing in my wizard.

Help would be much appreciated :D

Best regards,

I am not the window layout expert by any means. I am sure Alge or Mirai will have better advice but here it goes.

First, why stack the other 3 accounts on the second monitor and not just the first monitor and have the dxnothing window on the second?

Second, if you really want the others then go thru the process of setting up a stacked window layout in the wizard.
Then after it completes go that window layout and under regions drag windows 2,3,4 (the other stacked windows) over the the second monitor. Then drag the dxNothing window on top of that.

Thanks for pointing me to the regions option, it fixes all my problems.

Re: Is it possible to get this setup?

I want to do a variation of this. I have two different GPUs. I want to run slot #1 that I drive with on one GPU on screen #1. I don't want it to ever swap. I want slots 2-5 on screen #2, stacked with a dxNothing window on top, quartered so that I can see all four of them. I *do* want to be able to swap slots 2-5 with the dxNothing window on screen #2. Remember the complication that screen #2 is on a different GPU. Is this layout possible?

If you disable Cross-Monitor Swapping in the WL Wizard, then one of the first few generated options should be almost what you're looking for.

You're going to have to manually adjust the size of the smaller regions to match the bigger region of the second Swap Group, and you're also going to have to add an extra region to house the dxNothing window -- It's probably easiest to put the dxNothing region in its own swap group so that it doesn't take on the Home Region of any other Swap Group (not that you'd need a Home Region for stacked windows, but it's probably safer to just keep it separate).

The biggest problem with all of this is that mouse broadcasting is going to be off because the main regions of each Swap Group are going to be different sizes; so, you can either manually adjust the size of Region 1 to match the size of the regions in the second Swap Group, or... I don't know what else I was going to say because I got sidetracked and then came back to this post a few minutes later, but if I remember I'll edit my post.

The light just came on -- *that's* what swap groups are for. The slots 2-5 will be in their own swap group and that's what will keep them from trying to jump onto the other monitor, right?
