Black borders around my screen

Hi,

New to ISboxer. Can't understand why I can't get ISboxer to set WoW to fullscreen. Tried the wizard several times.
Also searched forum alot for people with similar problems, can't seem to find any :/

OS: Windows 8 - 64bit

Here's picture on the black borders:

Re: Black borders around my screen

I'm on my mobile at the moment so just from the picture...

You appear to have selected a Window Layout with the Avoid Taskbar option enabled. This means that your resolution is nonstandard aspect ratio, and the game is adapting its closest login screen for you, just like letterboxing.

When you pass the login screen, the "black borders" go away. It sounds like you didn't try logging in, because it's not an issue ;)

You can change the behavior by using a layout without Avoid Taskbar (therefore using a ratio the game has a login screen for), or potentially by changing the windowed mode setting in the game.

Thank you for the reply, been trying it out and it seems to work now :)

I've got another question though if you don't mind. Is there any way to ensure a certain aspect? I'm using a UI which needs 1.77 (1920/1080). All the buttons etc are in weird places right now.

Re: Black borders around my screen

I think I managed to fix this problem, writing it up here. Perhaps some other lost soul will find and have use of the solution :)

My first monitor is a 27" 1920*1080 resolution screen.
My second monitor is a 22" 1680*1050 screen.

However I used the window layout ISboxer gave me weird resolutions. For example:
1920*1040 on main screen (aspect 1.84)
720x576 on the four toons on second screen (aspect 1.25)

So I just went into my WTF configs and manually edited them to say:
1920*1080 for main (aspect 1.77)
720x406 on the four toons (aspect 1.77)

Now I even could do the magic thing of setting up keys with dominos in the compilation I use (ui-tat, based on arkiveui).
