How Do I Configure One Toon to Each Monitor?

I tried configuring two toons on my 2nd and 3rd pc, the 3rd pc wasn't strong enough, but the video card was, so I put the video card in my 2nd pc, then tried setting up two toons, one on each video card-monitor on my 2nd pc. Even tho the layout wizard shows the 2nd monitor, it's blank. I think I need to configure one character set=one toon for each monitor, similar to setting up two pc's, but I got lost in the attempt. my cards are nvidia 560 GTX's. Do I set them up in dual view or extended window mode? Next, is there a guide that explains using two video cards that's more in depth than the one in the guides section, cuz it just kinda skims the surface, then says the new version will handle it automatically, which I haven't been able to do yet.

Do I set them up in dual view or extended window mode?

Set them up in the mode that means you have 2 monitors (one next to another, not as one monitor), and the second one is not a mirror/clone of the first. In this mode you should be able to move your mouse from the one to the other seamlessly, etc.

I think I need to configure one character set=one toon for each monitor, similar to setting up two pc's

No.

ISBoxer will use ONE Character Set for any given PC. If you try to use two at a time, the second one will actually replace the first one (and assume that you meant to switch from one to the other by doing so).

All you need to do is use the Quick Setup Wizard and set up your Character Set for 2 characters. The Window Layout styles page will have options for multiple monitors, including something like "Full Screen per Character" since in this case you're talking about 2 characters on 2 monitors. That should be exactly the Window Layout you're looking for. The next paragraph shouldn't very much apply to this case because this layout should not have Swapping enabled...

More generally, of your 2 monitors are powered by different video cards, then there are limitations on what you can do with swapping windows around between the two monitors. For this scenario, when picking a Window Layout style from the wizard, you can set the "Cross-monitor swapping" option to False. This will limit the options in the drop-down box to ones that don't move a window from one window to the other. As the GPU Management page describes, this should prevent a big performance penalty (the penalty for moving a window from one monitor to the other).

It's not so much that what you want to do doesn't work very well, it's that it confuses the hell out of people like you who just want more power. ;)

HAHA! Do you realize that you just described every gamer who has ever gone outside of the game looking for more "power". I'm just poking fun, but isn't that the goal of isboxer, to give us more control, and control=power

Yes, I realize that, but I was not describing a problem or limitation with ISBoxer. The problem is with 2 GPUs. You want more power, you are told by the people selling the GPU that you should just pop another one of these babies in there, so you do. Then you find out that it doesn't work like you hoped.

This is why the FAQ has the following:

FAQ: Should I get two video cards?
Short answer: Probably not. Most people are not prepared for the limitations imposed by having multiple video cards.
