1. Which Character Set are you talking about here?
2. When you say "spam the IWT key", which key are you talking about?
3. Do you normally turn Key Maps Off and On again as part of your normal log in procedure?

Firstly if I do not spam the IWT key 3-5 times when switching targets then hit 2-4 it will target my masters previous target but continue running at the current one.

Thirdly, your idea of using "Interact with Target - Keep CTM" from your "Melle IWT" Mapped Key is good, but bad. It's good because it's already made and it may technically work (after fixing the above). But it's bad because "Interact with Target - Keep CTM" operates on every character in your group instead of just one. So you're telling each of your Melee characters individually, to initiate something that will affect everyone else -- each one is saying "okay assist me! now interact with my target!" and you're going to run into problems with losing targets and having the wrong thing selected. (As you seem to have described?) You probably don't need any of that except for the part that sends G to the window; just use a Keystroke Action to send G, or use a Variable Keystroke Action to send "Interact with Target" (after having fixed the issue from the previous paragraph).
