DAOC Crash Issues

Hi All,

It seems after the patch this morning, ISBoxer freezes/crashs when trying to load into DAOC. The patcher runs fine, but the game crash's before you actually load into the game. Has anyone else had issues sense the patch?

It crashes, is there a crash report with information you can provide?

Yes DAOC patched this morning morning to fix a relic issue.

I have already tried to UN-installed Avast, tested same issue, (reinstalled it as it appeared to not be related)

Everything was working yesterday, and has been working sense i started playing 2 weeks ago.

Im wondering if there is something in the default profile that needs updated?

No, this does not sound like a profile issue.

Can you also try removing AVG and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and see if either of those makes a difference? You can of course reinstall all of them after checking (but i would recommend having them all removed at the same time to test)

still no go, game client becomes "un-responsive" half way through loading into the game again.

Oh, so the game is still running it's just frozen? I would have asked for "Diagnostics for game freezes" in that case. Please get me that from the frozen game instance -- you will need to e-mail me the file to lax@lavishsoft.com, you wont be able to attach this file on the forums.

Okay I got a chance to look at the dmp file, but it's inconclusive other than indicating that ISBoxer is indeed trying to do something at the time. I'm not able to personally test it yet but I can offer some suggestions anyway.

1. Try removing your Window Layout from your DAOC team
2. Open the folder where DAOC keeps the user.dat file, and delete the Character-specific one (user-xxxxxxx.dat). Do an Export to Inner Space after. This will force ISBoxer to re-copy this file from the main user.dat.
3. Are your Ctrl and Shift re-maps working? We generally recommend against using Ctrl, Shift, or Alt as a Hotkey as there are a few possible issues with doing so. Try removing the DAOC Test key map from your team to see if anything changes.

Still no go.

I eliminated both the hot-key remaps (which worked perfectly prior to the Tuesday patch) and the layout. I even re-installed ISBoxer + Innerspace.

I tried loading DAOC through the Default Profile option, which worked just fine. It would seem that the game becomes UN-responsive when i attempt to load a team, or a character that is part of a team.
