Re: ArcheAge

An update to Trion Worlds stance on multiboxing ArcheAge has been posted at https://support.trionworlds.com/app/ans ... lti-boxing

Having multiple accounts logged in from a single IP address or registered user is allowed. However, each account must be able to act independently of one another and be controlled without the use of any 3rd party software. You may have multiple accounts following a specified character and you may take action with each of these characters provided that it is being done manually by using the keyboard or mouse assigned to that character. Any program or set-up which will allow you to manipulate multiple characters with a single click or press of the button is prohibited and can lead to negative actions being taken against your account.

It appears that the producers of the game want people to believe that players can multibox ArcheAge so that either the investors are happy or people that purchase the game think they can play more than one account at the same time. The reason I state this is because with the above restriction along with the following, the game is not playable with many accounts.

1. The follow keybind only works while out of combat.
2. No assist command or keybind so there is no way to get the target of the target.
3. Character collision.
4. Only one copy of the game can be running on a computer and Hackshield ensures that.

ArcheAge was developed by XLGames and published for English by Trion Worlds. I don't believe that Trion Worlds is aware of the restrictions on the multiboxer by the developer. The producers have live streamed that they knew of people that multiboxed Everquest using 5 computers with no keyboard or mouse broadcasting. What they fail to realize is that ArcheAge is a heavy PvP centric game where as Everquest was not. I've multiboxed Everquest using 10 computers with no keyboard or mouse broadcasting for seven years and it didn't have all of the above restrictions by the developer.

I enjoy taking up challenges but these restrictions are ridiculous in my opinion. And given that Trion Worlds gave me my money back for all of my founders packs, I've decided to move on.

I seriously doubt anyone that attempts to play with more than two accounts will have fun playing ArcheAge with all of the restrictions in place.
