Character Set Launcher issue

I'm about 2 weeks into using ISboxer and I have a 6 man LM team that I'm working on. Up until today, the IS launcher ran correctly and each LOTRO account client started correctly and in the correct order. Now I've run into a little trouble and I'm trying to trouble shoot it. The first client (slot 1) starts and I log in....but the client then disappears and reappears as if I never entered my passworld. Samething happens if I try to launch Slot 2. When I launch Slots 3-6, the clients log in and it all works as intended. Please advise, thanks

They may be crashing, silently? Get me a "Diagnostics for game crashes" from ISBoxer's Help menu -- http://isboxer.com/wiki/Diagnostics

I would also suggest the usual suspects -- check for video drivers, reboot, etc.

I've found a workaround but it seems Slot 2 is still the problem. Launching the team set, I can get Slot 1 going but Slot 2 disappears after I log in and reappears as if I had never logged in. I can individually launch Slots 1 and 3-6 using the Character Set slots. The workaround for Slot 2 is to launch anyother character set and replace the account information with Slot 2...this does create 2 slots with the same switch hot key ugh. Outside of ISBoxer, I can log into the Slot 2 account. Also, my 2 man Warden team is running fine so that team's Slot 2 is working. I tried an ISBoxer uninstall and reinstall as well as a couple of reboots.

So, two things I can think of.

1st I would try deleting the virtual file created for the slot 2 LM. This will be Documents\The Lord Of The Rings Online\UserPreferences-<CHARACTERNAME>.ini
2nd See if setting an exception in Avast for lotroclient.exe and innerspace.exe makes any difference.


You also seem to be on a laptop. You may not be, but there are a couple of services which indicate some battery monitoring .

See what the go is with the following programs, and whether they need to be running.
Avast (you also appear to have MS Security Essentials, although this may be Windows Defender if you are on Win8)
Creative_Audio_Engine_Cleanup.0001 (why 3 copies?)


And finally, you also have the Steam install running, make sure it is fully patched. You may want to have steam shut down between clients if this is possible. It can be a bit funny.
