EQ2 dual monitor and dual video card

I am having trouble with an Everquest 2 monitor layout.

I have two monitors and two video cards (AMD 7970) and each monitor is plugged in to a different video card.

In SWToR I have a window layout where each monitor has its own game window. This allows each game instance to run on a video card and I can see each video card fire up to full speed.

This doesn't work with EQ2 though. I am trying to set up four game instances, two per monitor. I have set up the same way I do with SWToR - that is in the wizard disabling or putting false next to any swapping option. When I start up the four game instances though only one graphic card is being used.

Any ideas?

Thanks Lax.
I emailed the XML to your LavishSoft email address as I am having trouble copying to clipboard at the moment.

Re: EQ2 dual monitor and dual video card

Okay.

Your Window Layout looks fine, it should correctly assign the displays. You can verify that each window is getting assigned the right one -- press your in-game Inner Space console hotkey (Ctrl+Shift+Alt+C) to pop that up and scroll back near the top to find where it says something like "Window Layout binding to monitor: \\.\DISPLAY1". 2 of them should say DISPLAY1 and 2 of them should say DISPLAY7.

The game's windowed mode setting could also be having an effect on whether this works correctly or not, so you can try changing that.

The development build of Inner Space also has some related fixes. To try it out, right click IS and select Patcher, check "Download development (test) patches" and then close and restart Inner Space

Re: EQ2 dual monitor and dual video card

Before updating to the development build I checked and each window is being bound to the correct monitor.

After patching to the dev build both video cards are working!
This being EQ2 though I didn't actually see any performance increase over using just one card...I'll have a monkey around with the settings and try to find the bottle neck.

Thanks for the prompt support Lax.

Hey Lax, the Dev build did help me out. Can you tell me when this goes live so I can switch back to the regular build?
Thanks.
