Change variable keystrokes on fly?
Hello,
Is there a way to change or create a keymap to change variable keystrokes on the fly? Particularly I am looking for a way to toggle between two different sets of "Which F key targets which group member".
While I suppose this could happen in other games, the reason why I want to do so is the way EQ handles mercenaries. For those that don't know, EQ lets you hire mercenaries which are "NPC group members" and therefore take up a slot. They can be summoned and dismissed at will but they cost in game monies every 15min while active.
So when I'm in "run around do boring crap mode" these guys are put up and my variable keystroke keys would need to be set for a 3 man group. With them out, I need variable keys for 6 man group. Because of how they work, the group order and therefore targeting order is the same for each scenario.
I am currently dealing this with the in game menu (ctrl + alt + shift + g), but that is very tedious. I think I need variable variable keystrokes
I am using mouse button 4 as a modifier key to send keys to other windows. If I could have like shift+mouse4 or something make the variable keys have a different targeting, that should fit the bill.
Any suggestions on how to do something like this or maybe some other work around?
Thanks,
Cdaug
