Swapping Broke?

Instant Swapping between windows just broke for all of my WoW teams. It worked perfectly last night though.
I use 3-5 accounts on one monitor and usually switch between them by simply clicking on one of the smaller windows to make it switch place with the bigger main window. Now that I click on one of the small windows however it doesn't switch place but it does switch focus, meaning I'm forced to navigate it through that small window.
Is this something that have broke in an ISBoxer/IS update or is it just some freaky thing on my end? Can't seem to fix it myself though.

Re: Swapping Broke?

A couple of people have reported this in IRC too.

Roll back to the non-dev build of Inner Space until Lax gets a chance to fix it.

Re: Swapping Broke?

Lax,

Standard swapping layouts (where you click on another window to swap that slot to the main region) seem to be broken in 5575. I have confirmed they are working back in the non-dev build (5564). It seems to be an issue with Instant Window Swapping as unchecking that in the window layout restores the ability to swap by clicking in another window.

Re: Swapping Broke?

Thanks for the info guys

A fix last night to the scripting language (LavishScript) found a couple of missing parentheses in the Window Layout script, causing it to stop. ISBoxer 40.2.0405.1 corrects this issue; as it is an important fix, I have bumped the minor build number up to 2 (40.2) and this fix is offered if you re-launch ISBoxer. You can always find ISBoxer updates as well as your ISBoxer version number through Help->About ISBoxer.

i had the same issue since yesterday, and as far as i can see, i am running 40.2.405.1. there are question marks by Latest Version.
is this version different from the one you mention? with 0405 instead of plain 405?
i thought it had something to do with the wow mouse i installed yesterday, but that is apparently not the case?

04 05 is April 5th, it doesn't matter if it's 405 or 0405 it's the same version number. :)

If you're on this build of ISBoxer, and have done an Export to Inner Space since updating to this build, and "swapping is broke", then the issue described in this thread must different from the issue you are experiencing and we would have to talk about your configuration. In fact, in order to experience the issue in this thread, you must have manually switched to the development build of Inner Space, through the IS patcher window, in order to be currently on Inner Space build 5575. (Right click IS, check or un-checked "Download development (test) patches", then close and restart Inner Space to allow it to patch)

You can switch to the live (non-development) build of Inner Space, if you're not already on it, to eliminate any chance of this bug (which is fixed in 40.2.405.1 of ISBoxer as long as you Export to Inner Space after updating) affecting you.

you understand i have to be overly cautious :)
anyway, i followed your instructions: i checked the test version (was unchecked) and after exit, reload, patch, i unchecked it again.
by the reload it patched again, and it seems to be working. i wont keep my fingers crossed since i could never type that way, but it looks good. thanks.

Re: Swapping Broke?

should've kept my fingers crossed and tried typing with my chin n elbows.
the above solution works just fine as long as i do not try to use the wow-mouse buttons. mouse button 5 is standard so it gives no problem, but if i try to use say button 8, the windows sapping breaks. and if i reload without exiting all the windows and innerspace, i lose the cursor in the secondary windows.
yup. its definitely the wow mouse: i used another button, without first binding it in anyway, and i lost the swapping immediately. so now, the wow mouse is gonna sit idle and be pretty!
edit: i can use the wow mouse with innerspace, but only if i disable the detect wow mouse in wow! i have to program it with the mouse software, and then, so far, it works perfectly. now i am never uncrossing my fingers again!
