Re: Multiple PC FTL Help

Does ISBoxer fully support FTL on separate PC's ? Or are there some functions that require single PC.
Looking for a user that has it working well on multiple PC's to take a stab at this with me.

I believe I have every basic function working now from the main, but still lack the ability to switch a slave to the main, and have all the other slave's FTL work.

ISBoxer is amazing in that it hides the complexity of all the FTL macros behind the addon, (and thank you Lax, because this is what has stopped me from making a FTL setup using other tools in the past!) - but I feel like to figure out what I am missing here I would need a better understanding of what ISBoxer is doing when you switch the leader to a slave PC. I kinda wish I could "see" the macros that are being made and passed to each slave from ISBoxer.

It sounds like each of the other PC's can communicate with the main PC.
So the slaves assist/follow the main without issue. (Erron -- Also key repeater and maps are working)
And the main can assist/follow any of the slaves without issue.
But none of the slaves will assist/follow the other slaves.

How specifically are you 'supposed' to switch to another Leader in a multiple PC setup?

Another thought was KVM stuff - I am using input director with edge transition to move the mouse/keyboard focus to the slave PC's. Does ISboxer have to do this instead? Could that be the trouble?

Cross posted with code sniplets here.

Re: Multiple PC FTL Help

I know IS Boxer supports up to 5 computers at once.
But am not sure which features work.
I've only played around with 5 (or sometimes only 2-4 accounts) on the one PC.

Re: Multiple PC FTL Help

Worked with Lax and BobtheB in Chat and they provided the solution.

I needed to create an uplink between the slaves so they could communicate.

FTL Working perfect now.

I am so happy!

Thanks Lax.

Re: Multiple PC FTL Help

Now that this setup is working for my current character set I would like to create my next character set with different toons.

Since the Macro's are hard-wired to the names of my original character set it and those macros are stored under GENERAL keymaps. Those keymaps apply to all character sets that have been created within that Toolbox profile.

So if I want to create team do I need to create a new toolbox profile so I can change the GENERAL keymaps for FTL like /assist etc...?

-and if so, I would also need to do that on each PC correct?

-and lastly, and this would be a total pain, to switch teams, I would need to load the profiles in each Toolkit (5 times) and export those to each Innerspace client, close each innerspace client, relaunch each innerspace client (5 times) and then launch the new teams character set from the main.....

At least I have tried this and it works, but good lord it takes a very long time to switch teams this way. Any thoughts if this is correct thinking or am I missing a shorter way to pull this off?

Ahhh thread necro ;) The thread you want is actually this one: http://isboxer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=1069, which is the thread I was referring to to get you this workaround. And it seems I missed a step: After everything is up, go on the second PC (the one that has the 3rd one as Also Launch) and launch its set as if it were the main. This will force it to open a connection to the 3rd PC.

That should fix you up! Sorry about that :)

Edit: Also, this bug should now be fixed in ISBoxer 38.2.317.2, available from http://www.lavishsoft.com/downloads/mods/Lavish.ISBoxerSuite.38.exe
