window layouts not working with new launcher

I'm on build 6130, and if I start with the new launcher, ISBoxer won't honor my window regions. All windows end up the same size and overlap each other, instead of having my home window with a bunch of smaller one underneath. If I point it to the exefile instead of the new launcher, it all works ifne.

Re: window layouts not working with new launcher

You must have the launcher EXIT after each game client; ISBoxer must launch the launcher separately per game instance. Otherwise, every time you click Play in that launcher, ISBoxer will think it's for the same Slot (the one that it launched the launcher for).

I believe the launcher still has a setting for this.

I don't see the option to do that, but manually exiting and launching again does the trick!

The other odd thing is that I have two GPUs connected to a single monitor, and crossfire is disabled, but the in-game client will only let me select one GPU. It basically won't see the secondary adapter. If I launch the game without ISBoxer, it sees both.

This is by design. How are your 2 GPUs connected to a single monitor without crossfire? Your monitor has one cable (e.g. DVI, HDMI or DisplayPort) plugged into a single GPU like the rest of us, right?

You may want to have a read through http://isboxer.com/wiki/GPU_Management:
GPU Management does not operate the same as CPU Management or CPU Affinity. The way it works is the game selects a display (monitor) to host the game window, and then DirectX and your video drivers will operate on the GPU that powers that display, for the entire lifetime of the game client. Your ISBoxer Window Layout will automatically select the correct display (and the GPU that powers it) for each game window.

My monitor has multiple inputs - so I used the DP and HDMI inputs into the monitor from the two individual cards. I found that if I select a multi-monitor window layout, all clients are able to switch between GPUs (there is an in-game setting to select the video adapter), but if I use the single monitor layout I only get the primary GPU in the drop down selection. I will have to keep playing around with this.

Re: window layouts not working with new launcher

So are we talking like "PBP" mode where the monitor gives you something like left half from one output and right half from the other? In this case you will want to treat it exactly as "multiple monitors" in the GPU Management guide. "Cross-monitor swapping" should be False to prevent the significant performance penalty described in the guide, but you can set it to True to have access to all of the options (e.g. if you're used to the performance penalty anyway because you're used to moving the windows around between your two GPUs). And, again, ISBoxer should automatically be selecting the correct GPU for the display in use.
