G15 Keyboard issues post Logitech Gaming software update

Upon automatic windows 10 update: [Logitech - Other hardware - Logitech Download Assistant] ; the behaviour of my G15 keyboard is altered. In InnerSpace, the G keys and the M keys are no longer recognised. Un-assigning the G keys, Uninstalling Logitech Gaming Software and reinstalling the former working version is not sufficient.
While System restore temporarily resolves the issue, Windows 10 automatic update messes things up again by automatically applying the unwanted Logitech update.
Any suggestions on how to get InnerSpace to recognize my G keys again ?
Thanks in advance,
Kayman

Fix the problem, and then download the show/hide update tool for Windows 10 and set it so you don't get that update (note that this update may reappear when a new version is released).

You can also use Group Policy to adjust your update settings... https://uk.news.yahoo.com/windows-10-di ... 57440.html.

You can also prevent updates if you use a wireless connection (see above yahoo article).

You can also put a redirect in your hosts file for update.windows.com. You may need to do this for a few other addresses too, but this is the main one (there are some sites out there that list between 50 and 112 addresses of Microsoft to block, but these are mostly for the telemetry and may affect Windows functionality). Note that this path will prevent all updates.

Re: G15 Keyboard issues post Logitech Gaming software update

Thanks for the prompt response.

Unfortunately, my working restore point is no longer available, so I guess I am stuck with the current Logitech drivers.
The Yahoo article you suggested seems to offer a good method to regain control over choosing what updates I would like to install. This would be a tremendous relief from the current situation. If it works, it will represent a much less drastic solution than redirects in hosts file that will block all updates!

The question that remains is in regards to the Logitech drivers. Is there a way to find out which ones have been changed post update ? This way I might still try finding the old working ones and maybe then replace them manually.
If worse comes to worse, and this solution is not viable, it might be time for me to abandon my good old G15 Keyboard that has served me for so long now!

Thanks again for your time,

No idea about the drivers. I use version 8.46.27, and don't let it update itself, nor let anything else update it. Works for me. The trouble I always had was getting it to run as admin during a system start, which I ended up setting the software to run at startup, disabled this by using Autoruns, then created a scheduled task to start it as admin.
