Help with setting a window for targets.

Hello

Again, new to ISBoxer here. Learning new stuff. I've been spending more time on this program than the actual game in last 5 days or so..
I'd like to make a custom panel/window/videoFX in the main screen to see what the other toons's target window and the casting time window. I am not sure how to start this.
Please, help..

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Re: Help with setting a window for targets.

Basically, it comes down to creating a source in the window you want to look at, and then creating a viewer in the window you want to view it in. The full, detailed set of instructions can be found on the Wiki page:

Re: Help with setting a window for targets.

Again new to isboxer here.

I was able to do VideoFX, but it had blurry resolution. So I did VFX layout instruction from your video (once again very informative), and I was able to make 3 windows in the bottom of the screen. Now, in that video, you put your mouse over one of those three screens, and the main screen was swapped to the corresponding character. How do you do that?. I click on my small layout windows but nothing happens.

Thank you, again

Re: Help with setting a window for targets.

The viewers are probably blurry because your source windows are not in a Stacked layout. This is covered in the WIKI page linked above. You need the sources to be displaying at the render resolution, because the Displayed Resolution is used as the vfx source, not the internal rendered resolution. This is just the nature of how VFX and the Windows DWM (which VFX uses) work.

As for swapping, you don't really swap the small windows, but rather, the source window comes to the top of the stack. Depending on how you set up your viewers, you will need to set the Enabled VideoFX Focus Hotkey on the viewers, whether in Actions or via the ISBoxer in-game GUI. If you want swapping actions, then you need to configure a few mapped keys to execute that regenerate the viewers with the hidden window sources. MiRai covers this in this video.

The VideoFX Focus Hotkey is set on your Character Set, and by default is ALT+Mouse1. You can change this to Mouse1 if you want, although you will probably need to turn off VideoFX Passthru for this to work well. You might also consider changing your Window Layout to set the Focus follows mouse option (you need to set the Swap Hot Character drop down to Never, or one of the Only When I... options for this tick box to be enabled).
