Assist and Follow Simplified Method Stopped Working

Recently, started multiboxing FFXIV. Configured assist and follow for full party of four characters on one PC. Followed MiRai vids and ISBoxer directions same as last time I set it up. per-Character Targeting Macros ("Simplified") enabled, FTL Follow left as F11, FTL Assist left as F12, character modifiers confirmed checked (shift, alt, ctrl, and shift+alt defaults), in-game macros set up for /follow "character name" and /assist "character name" on all chracters, macros placed on a hotbar, characters invited to party.

So all that done, swapping to each character's separately the macros are working for each. Will assist or follow if hotbar button is pressed for respective character. Initially, I could not get the Assist Me and Follow Me Mapped Keys to work. Realized I had forgotten to change the defaults from Alt+A and Alt+F to Mouse4 and Mouse5 respectively. Did that and everything worked for a short while. Then it stopped working.

I have double checked all the settings above and can find nothing wrong. Changed the mouse buttons back to Alt+A and Alt+F, but no go. Nothing happens when I press these. I have cleared and created a new ISBoxer profile from scratch, no go. Closed all game instances, ISBoxer, and Inner Sphere out, and restarted. Still happening.

Kind of making me crazy. There has to be something I am missing. The Mapped Keys just don't seem to go out to all the characters like they should. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

So, the first thing that I would try would be to press the appropriate keybind combinations in game, and make sure they work. I.e. SHIFT+F11, CTRL+F11, ALT+F11, F11, etc. This is to make sure you have not done FAQ: I recently set a key binding in the game and now assist doesn't work

You could also try checking the debug console.
Or if you use mouse software, make sure it is running as Admin, and not assigning those mouse buttons to other functions.

You could also share your profile if you think that is the issue.

Thanks for the reply, Bob. The issue actually ceased after I turned on "Hold any Keystroke Actions while Hotkey is held". Not exactly sure why that fixed the problem, but it did. I did notice that MiRae had it set to on in his videos.

It fixed it because FFXIV needs that option enabled when using modifiers. Back when I made the video, I let Lax know that the Wizard wasn't setting that to on by default when choosing to use the per-character targeting macros option in the Wizard, and telling people to double check that it was enabled was something that was overlooked when making the video.

And I had that as a possible fix in my original reply too, but then my flaky network dropped out and I lost it, so you got the shortened version the second time where I forgot to write it...
