EQ - Star formation bug

Dear All,

I have this problem too with star formation for everquest. Only {Slot 2} will move to formation. The rest {Slot 3} and {slot 4} moving in wrong direction or nor moving forward.

Anyone can help me pls. My trial ending on wed 28 Oct 2015. I want to get it right before i sub.

In game key binding for EQ for all 4 toons is WASD (move forward, left back and right)and QE for strafing Left and Right.

Thank you

Regards
Ken Theng

Re: EQ - Star formation bug

In ISBoxer, under Variable Keystrokes, you may need to set the appropriate keystrokes (default combinations) for the movement keys.
The ones you want to set are
Move Forward = W
Move Backward = S
Move Left = Q
Move Right = E

You may need to replace the key values with what you actually use to move/strafe around.

It is also a time based thing. If you click the formation button (assuming you are using the menu, but the same applies if you are using a Hotkey to trigger the mapped key), then that is how long you are pressing the movement key for. So you may need to click and hold for a little to get some movement going.

For the end result to look like a Star then they would need to be pretty close, but usually after doing a "Follow" then the characters should be pretty close.

In addition to what bob said, you can also just back your main character up a step or two before using the formation so that the end result looks a bit more like a star. You could also break follow on the others before backing up in case you find yourself backing up too far on a regular basis, which will usually spin the rest of your team around and could distort the look of the formation.
