No clue on the first point, sorry.
For the second point, the following:
Are you playing with Keymaps on and Repeater off?
Generally you lead with one toon (using the mouse or WASD keys), with the other on follow.
If you broadcast the mouse to both, they won't perfectly align.
For the attacking, I'll assume Keymaps are on, and Repeater is off.
You have a spell from each class on the same keybind, which is one of "1 through =".
The IS Boxer addon is enabled for both toons (can check at the character select screen).
If you put Smite and Shadowbolt both on "1", no macros just dragged straight from their respective spell books, do they each cast?
Generally, if you have a tank the random queues are very fast.
If you have a healer, the queues are a decent pace.
If you're lacking both of these, the queues are a bit longer.
You shouldn't have any issue with setting up a Repeater Region over the Grid Frame.
You'll want to check KVM mode, and have the broadcast go to whatever slot the Priest is in; that way the Priest can heal from either screen, and the Warlock won't repeatedly target the party members.
You'll need to ensure the Grid frame is alphabetical, on both screens so the ordering is the same.
For Grid you'll need to also have Grid Custom Layouts and Clique to interpret the clicks (this is the set up I use too).
My custom config is:
ToonA,ToonB,ToonC,ToonD,ToonE;NAME
1,2,3,4,5;5/5;NAME;NR
The first line will be column one.
You want every one of your toons listed, with a comma between each, and no spaces.
I have 36 toons listed on this line.
End it with a semi-colon and then NAME (in caps).
Line two denotes displaying everyone in groups 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
The 5/5, tells Grid to use five columns across and five names deep.
If you had gone 8/4, it would be eight columns across and four names deep.
The semi-colon NAME, means you get an alphabetical sort again.
And NR is no repeating, which means in a raid.. your toons are in column 1, even if they're in groups 2 and 5.
