Do Not Advance...

If I have an ability which I want to land.
But am using a character who is not hit capped.
Assume I make a multiple step mapped key.

Something like:
- Send keybind to Warcraft.
- Do Not Advance for 3.0 seconds.

If I spam the hotkey:
Will IS Boxer send the keybind once, then do nothing for the three seconds?
Or will it send the keystroke several times, over the three seconds that it cannot advance to the next step?

Re: Do Not Advance...

Trying to tweak my DPS to be similar to a click castsequence, without using that mechanic.

I'd like to....

a) Mangle, until that lands.
b) Rake, until that lands.
c) Mangle, again.
d) Mangle, again.
e) Alternate between Rip and Ferocious Bite, once Rake + 3x Mangle have landed.

Cannot think of a way, for IS Boxer to know if a warcraft ability has landed or not.
Curious if, do not advance can be used, in particular with Rake and Rip to ensure they land... before advancing to the next step of the DPS key.

Re: Do Not Advance...

There's no way for ISBoxer to sync up with the state of the game. The only way to do this through ISBoxer would be to notify it somehow (by pressing a key, clicking a button, etc) that the spell has cast. Not really a good solution.

Unfortunately, if you need to ensure it was cast before moving onto the next ability, the only way to do this is with /castsequence. And then there's no way with or without /castsequence to determine if the ability actually hit. There's really not much choice other than to eat some DPS loss, and that seems to be by design (for the betterment of people who play single characters well).

Re: Do Not Advance...

Another question.

You mentioned mapped keys are executed from the top down.
If I have a Spammed mapped key, which contains two or more Do Mapped Key Actions.

Will IS Boxer attempt to execute Step 1 for both Mapped Keys A & B, on the same press?
IE, would warcraft receive.. Key A, Key A, then both Mapped Keys on the Do Not Advance stage?

Warcraft Macros.

Key A... /castsequence reset=3 Mangle,Null
Key B... /castsequence reset=3 Rake,Null

IS Boxer

Spam Key
Do Mapped Key A
Do Mapped Key B

Mapped Key A
Step 1 - Send Keybind to Warcraft = Key A
Step 2 - Send Keybind to Warcraft = Key A
Step 3 - Do Not Advance for "x" (longer than the reset=x in warcraft)

Mapped Key B
Step 1 - Send Keybind to Warcraft = Key B
Step 2 - Send Keybind to Warcraft = Key B
Step 3 - Do not Advance for 'x"...

Re: Do Not Advance...

So pretty much, to ensure something lands..

Go with a castsequence.
Be hit capped.
Be expertise capped.

An ability won't move on to the next until it can fire off.
And if you're both Hit/Expertise capped, they cannot miss.

Thanks for the clarification.
