How do you avoid screen freeze?

When I play diablo without isboxer, I frequently get screen freezes (which I can unfreeze with ctrl alt del). When I run diablo through isboxer, it never happens. I guess this is because of whatever code got updated in this thread

Is there a way to avoid the freezes when I'm not using isboxer? I don't always load diablo through it because it can be a hassle when I'm only playing 1 character. Any insight (technical info is welcome, I wouldn't mind writing my own script to force a screen unlock)?

I'm not sure what causes the screen lockup but until it's fixed you can always create a shortcut to a team with just the character in question in it and use that to launch Diablo, alternatively you can right click on the Inner Space tray icon and launch your character from the 'ISBoxer Character Set Slots' list.

I know it's not the solution you're looking for but it's better than having a game that freezes.

Very bizarre that I started getting the same behavior that's described by OP this week.
