Levelling up player always runs ahead...

The quest of Rumford at the gate on Torment 5 skipping elites levels up my wiz almost 2 bars every run.

Its my second day with ISBoxer and I am just trying to level up another character so I'm using torment 2 to prevent the new player from dying.

How do you keep the second player synced?
It constantly runs ahead 5 steps in to the battle no matter what option I tweak.

Basically the only way I can play is to unsync every time a battle starts and run ahead.

I realize I'm just a newbie and probably missing 1 thing that is pointed out on every FAQ but can't find it.
I thought switching chars on screen 1 or 2 would produce the opposite effect (trail behind would be perfect) but exact same thing happens.

Again, I apologize for this newbie question but I swear I've tried everything. (Except the simple solution probably)

BTW I have a strong rig (i7,16G,Nvidia 560) and it doesn't appear to be breathing hard with just 2 screens.

First thing : both of your char have the same % movement speed ?

The char you control schould be ahead and the other(s) 1 step behind, because of the server delay. That's strange that your follower is ahead.

Do your characters have the exact same movement speed?

Thank you for the quick replies.

I will check but the levelling up wiz (like main char) still has crap items on so I don't think so.

Yes the second player (lvl 23) had +7% movement speed. (I'm level 180, you'd think I know these things)

Swapped the boots and seemed to work perfect for 3 minutes but quickly got out of sync again and this time couldn't even sync the second player close.

Getting closer...

I will setup a second monitor to see if its a newbie resolution ratio problem.

BTW The COTA run until a few replenish pools are banked and then Rumford Gate run at Torment 5 is awesome to level up.
The Zombies in Rumford Gate are slow and the Elites are slow enough to avoid.

You need some practice to sync your char in game, use the corner of the map game to sync your player when you begin to see some space.

If you are only dual boxing, but your game in windowed full screen, with full size window layout (so you won't have a split screen but both screen in fullscreen, with one on top of the other).
To know if your other char is getting a legendary, just hear the sound :)

Just set up another monitor and have the exact problem.
I notice the second player doesn't stop when I do, just takes a step or 2 more widening the gap.

I keep re-syncing in corners.

Maybe I will throw on some boots with movement. (we are both at %0 movement speed).

Well it can't be 100% sync because of the time between your action, and serveur replies.
So, saturday night is not the good time to do some test :p you'll see the difference in the morning if your ping is better.

Actually the main reason why your new character moves is that he has less resources than the level 60's. Let's say mana for example. And when you cast spells with your main character, the leveling character simply runs out of mana, can't attack anymore, and advances. I have been experiencing this, even when I "Force Stop" movement with a key.

Or even more simple, there is no spell attached to the key slot on your leveling character. Like with your main character you use key "3" to cast a bolt, but on your leveling character there is nothing on your key "3", which you didn't probably unlock because you are too low in level... Then your leveling character moves.

What you can do is use your signature spells in every available slot for your leveling toon, or use only 2-3 skills on your main character.

Also, make sure you're holding the space bar when you start fighting. Or whatever you have "force stand still" set to.
