twitch.tv intergration in the eve client

CCP has decided to intergrate twitch's broadcaster into the client. one less step for pilots like me who like to share :P

only problem is when capturing off of an innerspace client, framerates drop down to 1-2 frames per second. doesnt happen when broadcasting from a 'normal' eve client window. anyone have any ideas?

Interesting that you lose so much FPS. I do suggest adjusting your CPU usage for the Slot you'll be streaming from, to use all of your available CPU cores. To do so, select your Character Set in the top left pane, then the Slot number in the bottom left pane. In the bottom right pane, click the "Performance" tab, and make sure each of your CPU cores are highlighted.

Aside from that, I've actually started integrating the Twitch SDK for Inner Space and ISBoxer as well, and this is currently in beta. It has pretty decent performance in our tests so far, at least on PCs that can handle both gaming and streaming at the same time. ;) It should also produce the same quality stream as EVE's integration, since it's using the same Twitch SDK. If you want, come into the ISBoxer Chat Room and send me a message I can give you a link with instructions and the download.

Re: twitch.tv intergration in the eve client

Using XSplit broadcaster, in World of Warcraft, there is a slight performance hit when broadcasting compared to not broadcasting.
There was an enormous hit, when I used an i5-2500K and a smaller but still large hit with an equally overclocked i7-2600K.

With the newer system i7-3930K, the performance hit when streaming is minimal... barely notice it.

That leads me to believe streaming is a CPU intensive task, at least any encoding that might be going on.

Not sure if that helps you or not, for Eve.
