Virtual Files + Addon preferences?

Hey all,

So currently I run with 2 installs of WoW, one for normal play and one for multiboxxing. The characters I multibox with I also play normally, so I like having separate settings/addons/etc for when I'm multiboxxing -v- normal play.

I finally played around with Virtual Files today and found that they absolutely meet my needs for having different graphics settings within the same install, yay!

However, my addon settings are staying the same between multiboxxing and normal play, and when I looked at the config file, it seems like that does not affect addons at all.

Is there any way to maintain different addon settings when multiboxxing other than by using separate installs?

Thanks!

Re: Virtual Files + Addon preferences?

If you want different Addons when you're multiboxing from when you're not, then use the Virtual File Wizard and add a Virtual File for Addons.txt. Add it to your Characters and thats about it.

If you have actual settings from within individual Addons you want virtualized, then those are different files per Addon..

Re: Virtual Files + Addon preferences?

Wow that was easier than I expected. I was worried it wouldn't know where to find the addons.txt file but it works with any of those config files, even if they're in different folders?

Thanks!
