Now, the problem I am having is that the master does not send the key's I've defined to the slave. It is in reverse - the key mappings I've defined only work from the slave to the master - like it is the opposite of what I expect or want.
How do I get the master to send to the slave properly? Thanks in advance!
It sounds like you assigned your Key Map only to your slave. The features you assign will only work in/from those particular windows. If you want it to work from any window, assign it to your Character Set. If you only want it to work from your master, then only assign it to your master
Thanks for the reply. I think I know what you mean. I'll go back and assign the same key mappings to all the windows to see if that fixes it. Since this time, I have expanded to 4 accounts:
SLOT 1 = Master
SLOT 2 = Slave
SLOT 3 = Slave
SLOT 4 = Slave
When I send a mapped key from the master it works to 2 of the slaves (slaves 2 and 4), but still one of the slaves does not work (slave 3). In this case only 2 windows receive the keystroke.
If I go to the slave that DOES NOT work (slave 3) and try the same key mapped key it works...all of the other windows receive and execute the key (I would have expected the master to work this way). For example, I can send a particular key stroke (Ctrl+A) and each of the other windows (the Master and 2 other slaves) ...3 windows receive the key associated with Ctrl+A. Works great! But again, not what I expected. I would expect that SLOT 1...the one I've defined as the Master would allow this to happen.
Again, I'll assign the keys to all of the windows and see what happens...I'll report back. It is SO close to what I'm looking for...
