MS SideWinder native key support gap

The native support for extra MS SideWinder keys is awesome, but it seems to be missing from one important place. The "Hotkey to switch to this character" hotkey picker in the slots -> switching tab does not allow you to select any of the SWX6 keys. I can mostly replicate the functionality with custom always on keymaps but it would be a lot more convenient if I could just pick the SideWinder keys directly as a hotkey to switch to each character window.

If you uncheck the box: 'Make this hotkey global (restricts usable keys)' there are more choices.
I couldn't use the 12 side buttons on my G600, until unchecking that box.
Once the box was unchecked, those buttons were valid choices via the Arrow beside the selection and then scrolling down.
