New User/DAOC Setup Mouse Is Not Working

Just purchased tonight and will be using this program to run 3 account in DAOC. I utilized the wizard on setup and the good news is all three of my windows appear as required. I have ran through several things now and I am trying to get my key maps setup. I understand that the mouse is rarely used if at all with this program? if I am mistaken I apologize, I have done some searching on this subject and thought it would be best to just post the questions and go from there. But I have found that if I even go to utilize the in game GUI my mouse fails to interact with the window that pops up. If I go to broadcast mouse actions via hotkey the cursurs show up on all three screens and move accordingly. However I cannot interact with my mouse with anything. I cannot click on another character, cannot accept group invites, nothing. What am I missing? I am a big mouse turner, from the main game window will this be a problem? All my characters "stick" to the main toon as they run about. Etc. Sorry for any confusion. Just trying to get this working efficiently and as comfortably as possible. Thank you.

In the top left pane in ISBoxer, select your Character Set. Then in the bottom right pane make sure "Make game believe it is foreground window" is checked. Export to Inner Space after making changes.

If this option is not enabled, the game (depending only on which game you're playing and how it is designed) may choose to filter out input, like your clicks, due to not being the active window. :)

Ok, thanks for the quick reply!! Your support of this program is certainly noteworthy! One of the main reasons I decided to give it a shot.

I did what you suggested still nothing. Mouse cursor moves around, but is completely dead as far as interaction goes. Extra tidbit of information. For me to log off the game, I can't even use my mouse. I can get to the character select window, go to click on Exit and it won't even do it then. I have to go into my task manager and manually shut down the clients.

Oh and I am playing on one system using two monitors. I have game window 1 on main screen, full. With room for task bar. 2 and 3 are split evenly on the bottom of the second monitor. Though it seems like this issue is unrelated to that particular setup.

Re: New User/DAOC Setup Mouse Is Not Working

Okay. What you are probably running into is different, then. The difference between DAOC and most games that ISBoxer is used for is DAOC doesn't auto-adjust the resolution to the size of the window. This means that if you use a Window Layout that uses a different sized Window than the actual Resolution, then the mouse cursor may not line up in the game -- it may show somewhere other than where your clicks actually land.

In order to correct for this in DAOC, you will need to match your Window Layout to your in-game Resolution.

This can be done in a few different ways. First of all, you can try setting DAOC to Fullscreen mode. (Must re-launch after adjusting this setting.) In Fullscreen mode (and Windowed Fullscreen, if DAOC has that), ISBoxer will be telling the game that your monitor size (full screen size!) is the window size from your Window Layout. This could either automatically put the game in the right display mode, or the game can still override that and potentially put this desired resolution in the selectable in-game list.

If that doesn't help, then a super-simple fix is to use the Full Screen Stacked window layout. This gives you your standard resolution for the game. Then you can use Video FX to add in-window views from your other characters (or their whole window as a little picture-in-picture window, etc).
