Configuring mousekeys D3

Hello

I am trying to setup a 4 player party using 3 wizards and one barb.

For this to work i need my barbarian to use the left mouse button attack both when using left and right mouse button, and to assign another key to activate the barbs right mouse ability. My wizards will be using the standard setup, using different attacks for left and right mouse button.

Do i have to add Mouse1 and Mouse2 and the key i choose for the barbs right mouse ability under "always on" and then configure the keys under "variable keystrokes" in the barb slot or am i missing something?

I haven't tried fiddling with the settings yet, as i don't want to screw it up, as I am pretty new to ISboxer.

I hope you can help me.

Re: Configuring mousekeys D3

Yes, sounds like you want to map Mouse2 (and Shift+Mouse2....), and some other Hotkey to activate your barbarian's Mouse2 ability.

No, you probably don't want to put them under "Always On" because you want to be able to shut these off. I would probably go ahead and put them under "Combat".

So here's how I would go about it...
1. To start with, use the Mapped Key Wizard (from the Wizards menu), to do "Straight Key Broadcast" keys. The wizard is pretty simple, only special things are on the last page. On the last page, click both Mouse1 and Mouse2 in the "press any key" box, and check the "Hold" option box. Then click Finish.

2. Now, in the top left pane under Key Maps select the Key Map you put these in ("Combat", if following my suggestion). For the Mouse1 mapped key, select it and change the Hotkey to Mouse2. You will also want to expand the Mouse1 mapped key so that under it you see the Steps, and select Step 1. It should have 2 things in it by default, first a Sync Cursor and then a Mouse1->all. Change the Mouese1->all so that instead of "all" it goes to your wizards (see Action Target Group). Right click Actions and under Keystroke Actions, select "New Keystroke Action". Set it to send Mouse1 to the barbarian. This completes the Mouse2 re-map to Mouse1 for your barb.

3. The final step to get what you asked is to change the Hotkey for the Mouse2 to something else (whatever you want to use to trigger Mouse2 for the barb) and change its Target (in Mouse2->all) to just send to the barbarian.

Let me know how that goes :)

Re: Configuring mousekeys D3

Thank you for your fast response.

I tried to do what you were suggesting, but I must have missed something as it didn't work as intended :-)
It however pointed me in the right direction, so it is working now.

What i did was:
1. I added mouse1, mouse2 and shift + mouse1 in the wizard following your instructions.

2. In mouse2 under mapped keys I set the hotkey to my desired hotkey (5), I set the target to my barb, and the key combination to send to my game I set to mouse2.

3. In mouse1 under mapped keys I set the hotkey to mouse2, under actions i set it to broadcast mouse1 to my barbs game and mouse 2 to my wizards game. I did the same just adding shift in mouse 1 + shift.

Thanks again for the fast response, i'll go throw some axes now - using both LMB and RMB
